The most powerful forces in the Democratic Party just admitted: Vice President Kamala Harris is in deep trouble.
White House leaders are jittery that the American people see the woman they have so much invested in as unlikable and incompetent…so they’re throwing a Hail Mary pass and hoping it goes over the heads of the American people ahead of the 2024 election.
The pro-abortion super PAC EMILY’s List announced that it plans to spend “tens of millions” of dollars in a media-wide campaign to improve Kamala Harris’ image with voters.

“We’re going to tell the story about who she is, what she’s done, support her at every turn,” said EMILY’s List President Laphonza Butler.
She said the multimillion-dollar blitz would “push back against the massive misinformation and disinformation that’s been directed towards her since she’s been elected.”
Sinking that kind of money into an unpopular vice president “is politically unprecedented,” reported Politico. Republicans didn’t do it for Dick Cheney or Dan Quayle; Democrats didn’t do any favors for Al Gore or Joe Biden when they were one heartbeat away from the presidency.
The liberal pollsters at FiveThirtyEight show that Kamala Harris has a 20-point net negative approval rating with the American people.
No one anywhere on the political spectrum doubts that a majority of Americans disapprove of Kamala Harris.
As of Tuesday, 53 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of Kamala Harris, compared to 41 percent favorable rating—a negative approval rating of 12 points.
Only 31% of independents view Harris in a positive light, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Joe Biden has a net negative approval rating of nine percent in the same poll…not good, but far above hers.
There’s a word for someone as disliked as Kamala Harris: liability.
No one knows this better than President Biden, who has wearily eyed her dipping polls for 24 months, even after he named his administration the “Biden-Harris administration.”
The ad campaign admits the reality of Harris’ toxic standing in the government but pretends it’s an issue of “messaging” or “image” instead of who she is.
The PR blitz before the election would also help bolster Harris if—or when—the 80-year-old president steps down, or otherwise leaves office, and Kamala takes his place.
“Even the liberal group Emily’s List knows that a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for Kamala Harris,” said Nikki Haley, a GOP presidential hopeful.
But will it work?
EMILY’s List already spent $10 million to enhance Harris’ image and public standing when Biden tapped her for the vice presidential slot. And it has operated a Twitter account called “Madam Vice President” to puff up the VP since 2021.
That hasn’t worked—and a look at Kamala Harris’ history shows that EMILY’s List is throwing good money after bad.
Kamala Harris had positive ratings until she announced her entry into the Democratic presidential primaries. “After joining the race, Harris’ favorability gradually declined through the summer and fall of 2019,” reports the Los Angeles Times. “Her favorability starting rising in August when Biden made her his vice presidential pick.”
But then she got into office.
Harris’ approval ratings have been upside-down for more than two years, virtually every day that she’s been vice president.
After a honeymoon period, the American people turned on her during her June 8, 2021, interview with NBC News anchor Lester Holt, where she said, “We’ve been to the border”—and Holt called her out.
“You haven’t been to the border,” he said.

“And I haven’t been to Europe,” she said, caught in her lie.
Cringe. Kamala Harris doesn't get it.
Holt: "Do you have any plans to visit the border?"
Harris: "We've been to the border. We've been the border."
Holt: "YOU haven't been to the border."

It’s been all downhill since then.
Throng of staffers quit the vice president’s office, often leaving in droves and saying Kamala Harris is “dysfunctional” and “toxic.”

The White House tried to give Harris bigger and more prominent roles—like “fixing” the “root causes” of the border crisis and traveling to NATO—but her speeches brought more negative publicity.
As recently as Monday, with her image-renewal campaign in full swing, she immediately began cackling at the White House’s celebration of the newly invented holiday, Juneteenth.

Republicans say the costly Kamala campaign does what Democrats do best: waste money.

“I cannot believe that EMILY’s List is willing to burn $10 million dollars to rehabilitate Kamala Harris’s catastrophically awful public image,” wrote conservative Brian Doherty. “Sisyphus”—the character from Greek mythology condemned to push a rock uphill for eternity—“had an easier task.”

But the desperation move definitely signals how bad things are for the Veep-like veep.

“LOL! She’s toast,” wrote one conservative Twitter account with 24,000 users. “Dems gonna replace Biden with Michelle (Obama) who will pick (California Governor Gavin) Newsom or similar as Veep.”
“Kamala will disappear from memory,” he wrote.
The polls show, for most Americans, her memory won’t be a pleasant one.
