Just days before New Years Day, one of the world’s biggest left-wing megadonors said Americans should give thanks for George Soros.
The donor said that Soros, who most people think of as a foreign-born billionaire with a messianic complex, is actually a kindly, tender-hearted philanthropist.
The donor claimed Soros’ grants, which go mostly to radical the left-wing politicians and groups destroying America, actually “save lives.”
The hubris-driven charge came from the billionaire’s son and political heir apparent, Alex Soros, who claimed his father’s Open Society Foundations were a privately funded version of FEMA.
To hear Alex Soros tell it, his dad has spent years rushing into burning buildings, rebuilding flood-ravaged Appalachian towns, and stopping the flow of fentanyl.
“Following every major national crisis, federal and state governments mobilize resources at a scale no other institution can. That public investment saves lives,” wrote Alex Soros in a thread on X, posted on December 8. “But this spending is most effective when philanthropy steps up to fill critical gaps and help people in urgent need.” But the examples Soros cited would make any normal person think his dad’s grants cost lives.
For instance, the younger Soros bragged that, during COVID, his Open Society Foundations “committed $68 million” to help “bolster emergency remote learning programs.” Those are the online “learning” Zoom sessions that locked American children in their rooms, denied them a normal in-class school experience, and destroyed their mental health.
Thanks 68 million, Alex.
Soros tooted his own horn for supposedly tackling “the opioid crisis,” pointing out that OSF “supports harm-reduction groups.” But that term hides an ugly reality: “harm-reduction” drug organizations hand out “clean” needles to addicts—and sometimes even let them shoot up with slightly lower doses of illegal narcotics. As The Horn reported, the Biden administration’s National Institutes of Health put “harm reduction kiosks” all over rural Kentucky to distribute free needles…and condoms.
These so-called “harm-reduction strategies” actually “increased overdose deaths by 12%—or 25% for opioid overdoses,” The Horn News told you.
Then, Soros made one of his strangest claims: “private philanthropy is an essential partner” to the government, “supporting ideas, movements, and communities that public systems can’t always reach.”
That’s a really odd statement coming from Alex Soros, who hosts meetings with every prominent Democrat and every liberal politician in the world—including Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Jasmine Crockett, and then-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. And Alex Soros always posts pictures of himself next to politicians on social media to show his dominance.
Which politicians want Soros’ money to change people’s “ideas”? Which government officials want Soros to spend millions propping up “movements”? What kind of “ideas” and “movements” do politicians secretly want to fund, at home or around the world, on their behalf?
Is Soros admitting his “philanthropy” works hand-in-glove with Democrats to support radical left-wing causes that they can’t get taxpayers to underwrite, even through USAID? Is that even legal?
George Soros’ charitable” record proves he has funded almost every movement that could hurt or kill Americans for decades.
Soros has spent $50 million over the last 10 years to elect soft-on-crime prosecutors, who will let violent criminals go in America’s great urban areas. They institute policies like cash bail and, when charges get pressed, the Soros prosecutors often refuse to prosecute the perpetrators.
Their record is so extreme that even voters in far-Left San Francisco voted to recall Soros-backed prosecutor Chesa Boudin by a nearly two-to-one margin.
But Alex Soros’ out-of-the-blue, weirdly defensive message seemed to be heading off some kind of impending legal trouble of his own.
As The Horn News told you, President Trump has said Soros and other left-wing nonprofits funding violent, anti-ICE rioters in America’s cities should be criminally charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act
“We’re not going to allow these lunatics to rip apart America any more, never giving it so much as a chance to ‘BREATHE,’ and be FREE,” Trump wrote. “Soros, and his group of psychopaths, have caused great damage to our Country! That includes his Crazy, West Coast friends. Be careful, we’re watching you!”
Soros spokesman Michael Vachon denied the charges, writing, “Allegations that George or OSF are in any way engaged in unlawful activity or in fomenting or promoting violence are 100 percent false.”
But the latest thread says maybe the Soros’ doth protest too much.
Besides, Alex Soros seemed to threaten President Donald Trump, America First Republicans, and any other public critic by highlighting “the risks of going after private philanthropy.”
“Attacks on independent philanthropy are so dangerous,” Soros warned them.

Left-wing assassins have tried to kill President Trump on two occasions.
But if the Justice Department acts, it may be George Soros’ left-wing political empire that’s whistling past the graveyard.
