The liberal media has been warning for months that President-elect Donald Trump would be a disaster for the stock markets.
Way back in March, The Horn News said these reports were way off, and that any predictions that Trump’s election would cause plummeting stocks was simply fear mongering.
Looks like the mainstream media was wrong and Trump supporters were right — again! Thursday, stocks hit an all-time high.
Investors are flooding money into sectors that are predicted to skyrocket due to Trump’s victory.
Wall Street flourished with solid gains at the open. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 116.90 points, or 0.6%, taking it to a new record. The S&P 500 Index rose 0.4% as heaving trading continues.
The rest of the world is following Wall Street’s lead, with Asia partaking in the gains and the dollar rising further.
On Thursday, Asian shares posted hefty gains as they responded to the optimism recorded in Europe and the U.S. the day before. Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 index was the standout performer, rocketing 6.7 percent to close at 17,344.42 after sliding more than 5 percent the day before.
As well as taking comfort from Trump’s comments that he will look to unify a deeply divided nation, investors are focusing on his promises to boost U.S. economic growth through infrastructure spending and by cutting red tape.
In Europe, Germany’s DAX was up 0.5 percent at 10,697 while the CAC-40 in France rose 0.6 percent to 4,572. The FTSE 100 index of leading British shares was underperforming its peers, trading 0.1 percent lower at 6,904.
The upcoming Trump presidency, which will commence on Jan. 20, will likely remain a key driver in markets for the rest of the year. The president-elect will meet President Barack Obama later Thursday at the White House to work on transition arrangements.

The Market reacted positively to election results which is just a snapshot of what’s to evolve out of the Trump Pence Presidency.
Judy says
Yes, the market reacted positively…except for Gun Stocks. Ruger went down $9.30 and Smith and Wesson went down $4.33 in 2 days. I guess none of us felt the need to purchase any more guns since we now have a president elect who will protect our gun rights. In the past, the gun stocks have soared because someone has made a comment that they were going to pass a new gun law.
Jerry Branson says
Again the liberal news sought to create any BS they could to defeat Trump. What more could the stock market want than a highly successful businessman for President?
JERRY PERKINS says
Don’t know why such a surprise. Always believed that Trump was our only hope. Now lets get busy and make America Great, again.

No Pardon for Hillary or anyone else that has committed treason… Lock All OF them Up and never see daylight again….
Justin W says
Prosperity has a way of being contagious. As Mr. Trump makes America great again we are all going to see things improve. That should send the stock market soaring.

Why will the econmy and Wall Street thrive under Trump:
1. Glass Stegil will come back and stabilize wall Street, as the banksters and Insurance get their casino atmoshere toned down.
2. Coal will come back strong, as the Obama war on petrochemicals goes away. This will lead to lower electrical costs as coal powered power plants come back online.
3. EPA, and other environmental regulations forces get spanked, and attacks on fracking get reigned in, and the oil pipeline to Canada gets done, which helps the oil industry and US balance of payments.
4. Pot gets legalized, which breaks the backs of the cartels, since DEA gets focused on hard drugs. This also allows States to legalize where they want and boom economy like Colorado did. Hemp returns which helps with printing paper, making clothes, and biofuels.
5. TTP goes away, so jobs do not get stomped.
6. Taxes for corporations get dropped, and Obamacare goes byebye, and new medical systems arise in wake of medical savings plans and taxes embeddd in Obamacare law get shut down, so public has vastly more disposable income.
7. Obamacare rules on mandatory insurance for busness go away, which unleases hiring of full time work, which boosts economy like jet fuel on a fire.
8. Islamic imports of radicals stops, which triggers social stability, and ends depression of native workers being undercut in the job market.
9. Restoration of lower small business and farm regulation leads to economic growth in rural and small towns.
10. Elimination of Agenda 21 and other globalist efforts to depopulate the rural areas brings back agriculture and ranching.
