Anyone who thinks white supremacy had anything to do with Trump being elected is wrong.
That’s not my opinion. That’s verifiable fact, backed up with scores of exit data.
Of course, this isn’t something you’ll hear from liberals — it doesn’t fit their shameful narrative about race.
Did Trump say some awful things? Yes, and guess what? White voters responded — Trump’s winning coalition had a smaller proportion of the white vote than Romney or McCain or Bush in either of their elections.
Trump wasn’t elected by white racists — and the math proves it.
The difference in the 2016 presidential election and the 2012 or 2008 election was African-American and Hispanic voters supporting Trump and rejecting Clinton.
Guess what happened?
Trump won the votes of Hispanic and African-Americans in a greater total proportion among any Republican presidential candidate in 20 years.
When you break down the numbers, Trump had less support proportionally among white voters than McCain, Bush in 2000, and Romney did. But his support among African American voters was more than double John McCain’s support in 2008, and nearly twice as large as Mitt Romney’s in 2012.
It wasn’t a huge amount — but in an incredibly tight election, that small swing won him the critical swing states.
For all the mainstream media talks about racism, xenophobia, sexism, and bigotry, the fact is that Obama’s “identity politics” coalition failed for Hillary.
In 2012, Mitt Romney lost Florida to Barack Obama by 1% of the vote. In 2016, Donald Trump won Florida over Hillary Clinton by 1.3%.
The difference? African-American voters. Trump won a meager 8% of the black vote in Florida – but that was three points higher than Mitt Romney. The difference made up approximately a 0.6% shift in the total vote from one side to the other, a 1.2% total impact.
In other words, if Romney had the support among African-Americans voters that Trump did, he would have won Florida too.
The numbers prove, state after state, that Trump had an unexpected groundswell of support among minority voters. It was the difference maker that gave him the edge. Between Hispanic and African-American support, Clinton lost 3% nationally to Trump when compared to Obama’s numbers. In an election decided by less than 1% of the vote, that’s significant.
So the next time a liberal tells you that Trump is a racist, you can remind them it was minority supporters that elected him.
Obama’s voters didn’t show up like they were told.
When they did, they didn’t vote for Clinton like ordered.
In a tight race, it was enough to put Trump in the White House.

If Mr. Trump’s plan to rebuild the inner cities is even a moderate success, there will be thousands of newly hired inner-city workers doing construction work at a very decent wage. YEAH, that’s right, when I was a young man, the judges use to give you an option, join the military, or go to jail! I knew many a thug who took the option of joining the military and they became men and they were converted to MEN! My son get into some trouble when he was a teen. I asked the judge to make him go into the military. She said she couldn’t do that as it was considered cruel, and unusual punishment. I responded that it straightened out many young men I knew when I was in high school as a trip to Viet Nam made men out of them! Still she said she wouldn’t do it! Instead, he got a $280 fine, 50 hours of community service and had to write a letter of apology. He laughed about it and sure enough, he landed in bigger trouble later when he was no longer a teen!!! I knew he needed a much firmer punishment back then, but I was powerless to do much. Yes, I took away his driving privileges, his electronics and such, but these things have very little deterance to the child who is determined to be rebellious.
I can sympathize with you. I also have a Son, that has been in and out and is still as rebellious as he was as a teen. And he is 53 yrs old. He tried to teach his kids to act just like him, but they don’t have much to do with him, thank God. SAD to say that but sometimes you just CAN’T fix someone. Best to just move on. My other Son is just the opposite. So I really enjoy him.

The African American community decided that they were being told who to vote for ….. as one black woman says, she was ticked that Michelle Obama went on a black station and told the African Americans that it did not matter who was on the ticket, it did not matter what anybody said….that you (the black voter) WILL vote Democrat…..this black lady said it was like slavery days and pointed out that the slave owners had enforcers that were black handling the black slaves…..she said that this is what it reminded her of and that Michelle Obama was not going to tell her how to vote…that she was not on the gubment plantation. The black people in America have been kept down by the Democrats for 50 years and this year they decided to think for themselves and the Hispanics also. I cannot imagine a Hispanic who came to America LEGALLY, paid the fees, studied their butts off and became a citizen that they are happy about the criminal illegal aliens invading their country and being rewarded with freebies….how is that fair? I am a Latino (born here of American parents) who was able to forgive Trump for his prior transgressions and sins ( who in this world is perfect and without sin? ) and voted for him instead of Clinton because her past history has been laced with corrupt and possibly criminal actions over her thirty plus year history the list would be too long for this comment space. As a Latino I consider myself an American FIRST but also proud of my Latino heritage . I am gratefully for the OPPORTUNITY that America offered me rather than gave me . I was a poor boy ( house had no running water) with a dream and was able to achieve it– I am now a retired doctor after 48 years of Pediatrics.

My opinion is that Americans finally revolted against the status quo, the ‘career’ politicians in Washington whose only goal is to enrich their personal fortunes and status, taxpayers be damned. Both Democrat and Republicans are responsible, and it has morphed into a blur relating to what either party stands for, other than themselves. I hope Hillary gets hard time for her actions.
I surely hope someone initiates an amendment to the constituion that mandates that ALL members of Congress are liable and responsible for ALL legislation that they may enact. In short, they are NOT exempt from any laws, just like ALL other American citizens.
All members of Congress, both the House as well as the Senate should fall under Social Security as their defacto retirement system, as well as medicare for their health services. (let’s see how quickly solutions are found to keep both systems solvent)

I’m tired of people who think black people are supposed to vote for Democrats and be liberal. The Republican Party is the one formed to abolish slavery. The Republican Party took the lead on ending slavery and extending civil rights to blacks. While the Republicans were doing these things, the Democrats were running slave plantations (before the Civil War) and running the Klan after the Civil War. It was the Democrats that opposed civil rights legislation.
Once they realized they were on the losing side of history the Democrats created the con game of telling blacks they were looking out for them. The Democrats would make big promises during every election and nothing would change once the votes had been counted.
Someone did not do their homework!! Trump lost the popular vote by only 200,000. Equivalent to about one CITY in the USA!!
A small minority when the total of scavengers for our tax dollar invested in welfare and other entitlements by FAR exceed this

Hillary loved to say Trump hates immigrants. Trump is married to an immigrant – A Legal Immigrant – I never heard him say a word about shutting down immigration – just ILLEGAL immigration. He does not need to build a wall to do that – Just cut off all of the free benefits illegal immigrants receive upon arrival- no more free housing, food, medical care, welfare money, Social Security money (for which they never paid a penny in to) etc. They will probably stop coming on their own. And, if you are illegal and you are currently in prison – you get deported as soon as you are released – just like you would in most other countries around the world. Some might even kill you after your time, but we will just send you back home. Enforce the current immigration laws. That alone should create a lot of jobs. I am, now, 55 years old and asked a retired educator what would have to be done, in order for Obama to keep that promise. Her reply was that he’d have to have 52% of both houses of Congress AND 75% of the voting public, in the U.S., in order to keep that promise.

I think the vast majority of voters who have been disenfranchised under Obama have finally said they are tired of being the ones that subsidize the free ride that many liberals have be touting for the last 8 years. As one Hispanic member of the crowd said this morning, Democracy won. Not liberals, not conservatives but democracy.
As a RC Prolifer and a member of a family of 10, I could never accept the pro-abortion policy of the Democratic party of which I was a member of till “I saw the light”. My parents escaped the religious persecution in Mexico in the twenties, hence our church here has always been our strength. God create us in “his infinite goodness”, and no-one has that right to destroy life. I voted for Mr Trump because he is pro-life.

didn’t vote because the college-educated white-collar workers didn’t vote. My wife said it was because
Hillary assumed states that are traditionally democratic-supporting states (i.e. – PA, OH and FL) weren’t
necessary to worry about, so she didn’t campaign in those places.
