Radical activists are getting ready to disrupt another rally for billionaire GOP frontrunner Donald Trump today, this time in Wisconsin.
But Trump supporters are prepared — and are even sending some leftist protesters on a wild goose chase at a sewage treatment plant!
Monday night, protesters organized 60 people to disrupt travelers staying at the hotel the Republican presidential frontrunner has named as the spot for his Janesville, Wisconsin rally today.
Their actions, which included handcuffing themselves in a circle, resulted in six arrests. It was preparation for what the groups — identified as Black Lives Matter, Immigrant Justice, Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), and Queer Justice — say will be an effort to shut down Trump’s rally tonight by any means necessary.
It seems doubtful that they’re coming in peace. The groups have been asking supporters to donate money, expecting they’ll need it for bail and legal fees.
Of course, it appears the Trump campaign has some tricks up its own sleeves. An ad was posted to Craigslist offering to pay protesters $15 an hour to rally against Trump today.
But savvy Wisconsinites quickly figured out that the address given in the ad was actually for a sewage plant 11 miles away.
