Somebody at the White House has a good memory… and couldn’t help but rip former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to shreds.
The official White House X account celebrated World Social Media Day Tuesday with one of President Donald Trump’s all-time favorite social media posts of all time.
When the popular X account UberFacts asked its followers, “Today is Social Media Day — What social media post will forever remain unmatched?” the White House had its answer ready.
It re-posted Hillary Clinton’s infamous October 26, 2016 social media post of herself as a teenager with the caption, “Happy birthday to this future president.”
Eleven days later, she lost the election to Trump.
Clinton posted the birthday photo in the closing stretch of the 2016 presidential campaign in a moment of self-celebration. Numerous mainstream media polls had Clinton far ahead of Trump. (EDITORS NOTE: Not The Horn News, which saw through the polls and predicted Trump’s surging support)
After she lost, the post became instead one of the the most mocked political blunders in history and is resurrected every year on her birthday by critics.
The White House added no caption. No commentary. No explanation.
Conservative site Twitchy loved it.
“Hillary Clinton’s going on a decade of bitterness and rage after losing to Donald Trump in 2016, and the White House’s submission for ‘forever unmatched’ social media post won’t help calm her down,” they wrote. “We criticize Hillary quite a bit but we’ll give her credit for not deleting that banger so future generations can also enjoy it.”
