The Broadway stars of Hamilton: An American musical caused a firestorm of controversy after using the stage Friday to berate Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
But there’s something they don’t want the public to know — many of these high-and-mighty actors haven’t voted in years.
That’s according to RadarOnline, which reported that although records aren’t available on participation in the 2016 election, many of the actors didn’t bother to show up to the polls in numerous previous elections. “Records show that Brandon Dixon, who plays Vice President Aaron Burr and read the offending cast statement to Pence, didn’t even vote in the 2012 presidential election!”
Dixon isn’t alone.
“Javier Munoz, who plays the title role of Hamilton, registered to vote in 2006, and voted that year, but hasn’t since.Seth Stewart, who plays Thomas Jefferson, voted in the 2008 presidential election but then used his constitutional rights to skip out in 2012, according to his voting record. Anthony Ramos Martinez, who plays Hamilton’s eldest son Philip, registered to vote in 2012. But the 25-year-old hasn’t ventured into the voting booth since then. Nigerian-born actor Okieriete “Oak” Onaodowan, who portray James Madison, registered to vote in 2005 and also failed to cast a vote after that.”
Dixon remains defiant for delivering the shameful rant, and told “CBS This Morning” on Monday that “there’s nothing to apologize for.”
Dixon’s unprecedented address of the vice president-elect has divided many, with critics saying theater should be a safe place and the “Hamilton” cast comments seemed aggressive. But supporters contend Dixon was respectful.
Since his remarks, Dixon has come under fire for a history of sexist, racist tweets that critics say encourages rape and misogyny.
And Broadway actors aren’t alone in their anti-Trump hypocrisy. The Horn News previously reported that seven out of ten of those arrested for the post-election riots in Oregon failed to vote in the state as well.
Here’s a thought: Instead of throwing temper tantrums when things don’t go their way, perhaps liberals should actually participate in our democracy?

What if those who didn’t vote, didn’t do so because none of the candidates represented them or their beliefs? Or how about those who have been convicted of a felony and have done their time but aren’t given their rights back as Americans? If you are registered to vote and decide not to vote, you forfit all right to complain. If you have voted andf the other party wins, you have a right to voice your opinion and complai,but not toviolently protest, or riot! If you did not like any of the candidates on the ballot, you could do as some did, write in one you do like, so that is not an excuse, as for convicted felons, well, they know the price they would have to pay when they chose to commit a felony and got caught, so that is no real excuse, the only real excuse is if you did not do an early vote and were too sick to make it to the polls, but that is not an excuse either because of the early voting. If you are unable to make it to the polls, that is what they have absentee ballots for. Those in the Hamilton Play just plain have chosen to leave off their voting privileges as did those protesters in Oregon, so, none of the above have any reason to complain about the President-elect, regardless of who it may be. If you want the right to voice your opinion, then vote for anyone, but do not just not vote at all. I threatened to write in Donald Duck in the last election. but I voted for the other fellow on the ballot instead. Just as long as it was not Obama, I did not care who it was.
“If you don’t vote you have no right to complain.” Really? Let us look at history. From your local council person to your state representative they will often rescue themselves from voting matter that they disagree with by simply not voting. This is their form of protesting. Would you still say they have no right to complain?
When Obama ran for office the second time I said, “I don’t care if Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck or Goofy the dog runs against Obama I am voting for them.”
This election, there is no way I wanted Hillary in office so I made sure to vote against her by voting for Trump. That doesn’t mean I support Trump 100%. It means I would rather have him than her.
However, there are people that don’t want either one in office. In their case they have two choices, vote for one of the other two candidates or don’t vote at all. If they vote for one of the other two candidates the end results would have the same impact as not voting at all, no affect. If they do not vote then that could be just another form of protest that says, “I don’t like my choices” or it could be a statement that says, ” I don’t care.”
Voting or no voting a person still has the right to complain! There is nothing in the Constitution that says otherwise!

I have seen 1 movie in the last 5-8 years and that was an animated one. I have stopped watching regular TV except for the local news/weather. I only watch cable and very little of it. I have no time to pay attention to the Hollywood elites or care on how much they make or what they do in their personal lives. Why can’t we all stop going to these movies. It will save us time and money.

Commenters make assumptions about whether or not the actors have served their country, Trump did not serve our country, but that does not seem to bother them. Commenters are holding different people to different standards. People they disagree with are offensive because they haven’t served.
