President Barack Obama’s longtime adviser Valerie Jarrett made an embarrassing and flat-out false statement to CNN Sunday when she claimed, “The president prides himself on the fact that his administration hasn’t had a scandal.”
Do people actually believe this garbage?

Here are five of Obama’s biggest, most infamous scandals from his presidency.
#1 – Fast and Furious
One of Obama’s first scandals was a failed attempt to track Mexican drug cartels. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (AFT) participated in a “gunrunning” operation in which they allowed guns to be sold to Mexican drug cartels with the goal of recovering them at crime scenes.
The Obama administration failed miserably when they lost track of an estimated 2,000 weapons after they crossed the border.
In other words, Obama armed the Mexican drug cartels with no benefit to America whatsoever.
#2 – IRS targeting conservative groups
In 2013, the Internal Revenue Service revealed that conservative political groups applying for tax-exempt status were subject to intense scrutiny solely based on their political affiliation. It became apparent that groups were targeted if their names included words like, “tea party”, “patriot”, “constitution”, and “liberty”.
While the IRS blamed it on low-level employees, they deferred releasing a list of the specific targeted organizations until 2016 when they were accused of avoiding the release.
Upon release, a judge ruled the allegations were substantial, and the IRS would take four-times longer to process tea-party applications.
A pretty big scandal Jarrett seems to be ignoring.
#3 – Benghazi
Benghazi is one of the biggest scandals of Obama’s presidency that contributed to the Democratic Party’s loss in the 2016 election. On September 11th, 2012, four Americans were killed in Benghazi, Libya, and what followed was a slew of lies. The Obama administration claimed that an anti-Muslim YouTube video caused protests resulting in the attack, when in reality there was no protest that night.
The administration repeated these claims again and again, continuously lying to the American people.
When then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was questioned about the event, she claimed she never saw a message from the late Ambassador warning that they could not defend themselves against a “coordinated attack.” Had Clinton done her job properly, the lives of those American heroes could’ve been spared.
#4 – “Keep your doctor” Obamacare
Obama touts the Affordable Care Act as one of his greatest accomplishments, but it has been an utter failure since its inception. He famously promised, “You can keep your doctor” — which has been proven to be a lie.
Premiums have been consistently spiking year after year, make the Affordable Care Act not so affordable. All of the wonderful aspects that Obama promised turned out to be lies, making Obamacare one of his biggest scandals.
#5 – VA death list
One of the worst mistakes of the Obama administration resulted in the death of thousands of our nation’s heroes. After veterans risked their lives to protect American freedom, they faced insane wait times to receive care promised to them by the Veterans Administration.
A VA inspector general’s report revealed that 800,000 records were left sitting in the agency’s system for enrollment, 307,000 of which belonged to veterans who died while waiting to be processed.
One veteran who passed away waited to be processed for an astounding 14 years! Obama’s lack of care for veterans will go down in history as one of the biggest, most costly scandal of Obama’s administration.
Although it is not a admitted fait accompli yet, Obama bankrupt the US via his trillion dollar a year slush fund. With never having a budget, and absent Corp. media reporting, US citizens are not aware that Obama spent one trillion dollars per year as he chose. In essence, he spent that “shovel ready (self-admitted lie)” stimulus each year. Don’t believe it? Check the federal debt increase during his tenure. Those trillions went somewhere and with no budget accountability, it amounts to a slush fund with no corporate media pointing a finger. When it comes crashing down, the media will blame Trump, since they never pointed out the dishonesty during Obama’s tenure. I call this an eight year scandal.

I think you should have the lack of transparency with congressional committees and then follow up of enforcing our laws. The DOJ is definitely political and is not working for the public. Imagine a DOJ and a Congress so divided during the findings of Watergate, that Nixon is not impeached. First, closing down national parks, veterans’ memorials and national cemeteries on the 70th anniversary of D-day over a budget fight with Congress. 1. Fast and Furious was an ongoing Republican program, initiated by GWB II, which the Obama Administration continued in effect. Obama did not create it, Republicans did. Did Obama know it was in effect, and was deliberately choose to continue it when he took office?
2. IRS targeting conservative groups. Again half truths designed to keep the Faithful stirred p up. The IRS was investigating many political groups, Conservative as well as Liberal, and others. The bulk of them were conservative, as the conservative groups had the most applications for that classification of tax exempt organizations. Some were shown to have abused the tax exemption, but that did not matter to those complaining.
3. Benghazi is another example. How many GOP investigations were conducted? How many millions of dollars were spent? How about 9 million to be exact. What did they come up with? Lots of accusations, but no proof. Further, the GOP House refused to fund additional security measures for that and other diplomatic missions. Those various investigations came up with zip. Mistakes were made, but not a scandal. More Americans die in collapsing infrastructure caused by lack of maintenance or replacement as a result of lack of Federal Funds, a direct result of the GOP’s tax cuts for job creators, and 8 years of GOP block and stall of all things Obama, with their “no new spending without spending cuts elsewhere” mantra, Now Trump is coming into office, suddenly spending money on Infrastructure and creating jobs is now OK, So, if you want a a real scandal, go back and research out how many Americans died in collapsing bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure as a result of the GOP’s announced attempts to keep the nation suffering and struggling simply to make “Obama a one term President”.
4. Obamacare” Compared to what we had, it was more of a success than a failure. 20 million more Americans now have health insurance who did not have it before. Why have rates been going up? The same reasons they were going up 10 to 30% a year with medical insurance before Obamacare. The GOP refuses to place any limitations on health care charges, hospitals, doctors, pharmaceuticals, or medical device providers. That is capitalism, and we the people are its cash cows. One company buys another, and raises the charges for a drug by 400%. No problem, lots of hearings, no action. consider the Epi Pen. Costs $2.00 to make, the company raised the cost to $600.00. What has Congress done? Hearings, lots of hearings, Any legislation linking cost to price charge to the public for an essential service. Nope. There is your scandal. How about an identical back surgery at the same hospital with the same doctor 2 years apart? In 2014, that surgery came to $150,000.00. In 2016, that same exact surgery at the exact same hospital was billed out at $1,000,000, or an increase of over 6.5 times in 2 years. Where is the outrage? The health care insurers don’t care, in 2014, their fee of 15% for services was 22k This year, in 2016, the health insurers fees of 15% came to $150k. Of course they are not going to complain, they just raise their rates, and pocket an extra $135,000.
You want a scandal? Why don’t you care about that? You are the ones getting ripped off, as your GOP Congress refuses to act to stop this legal theft, pretty much like what Trump did with his 3500 lawsuits. Obamacare has its flaws, but the real flaw is Congress refusing to get control over the outrageous charges for all things medical.
Finally, the VA. This mess was in full force during the Bush II Administration, which is conveniently not mentioned in the Horn’s article, aside from reference to a 14 year wait of one Vet, and the failure to disclose over what periods of time the Horn is discussing.
Then again, to fix the VA requires money, appropriations, which the GOP was most reluctant to allow Obama to have. Remember the GOP Mantra? No new spending without spending cuts elsewhere? So, you want scandal? Look to your own party as well as to the Democrats. Then look to Trump, who has many scandals of his own, which obviously do not matter. As far as many Americans are concerned, Trump is adding to the swamp, not draining it.

Now that we have hindsight I would say there are many more then five major scandals however, for the sake of this I will concede these were very bad. Perhaps fast & furious was much worse then previously thought. Fast & furious was not the only time obama put guns in the hands of what is considered an enemy of the US. He also gave stinger missiles to terrorists in the middle east. It is further rumored (which is the only way news of the obama corruption reaches the public’s ears) getting them back was the job of ambassador Chris Stevens. This also brings up the Benghazi scandal. He and three others gave up their lives for that reason. If hillary or obama had gone to their rescue, as they should have and could have, they would have been exposed so they had to also cover that with lies as well. So for a month or more they both claimed time after time it was caused by a video critical of muslims. Which was untrue.
