A burlesque dancer says JetBlue employees at Boston’s Logan International Airport forced her to change clothes before she was allowed to board a connecting flight to Seattle.

The 26-year-old dancer uses the stage name Maggie McMuffin. She tells The Boston Globe she was waiting for her flight May 18 when a JetBlue employee requested that she change out of her high-waisted shorts or risk not being admitted onto the plane.

McMuffin says her black-and-white short shorts “covered everything” and her body was “90 percent” covered, given that she was also wearing thigh-high socks and a sweater.

JetBlue spokesman Doug McGraw says airline employees discussed McMuffin’s clothing and determined it might offend families on the flight.

McMuffin complied but called it embarrassing and vowed to never fly JetBlue again.

Thank you JetBlue. I don’t need to see this. On the plane. Inappropriate behavior on the part of passenger.

How absurd. There must have been a muslim on board. No exposed breasts or genitalia and still they picked on her. Obviously this event is far more newsworthy than the 69 people shot and killed in Chicago over the weekend.
      Way to go Jet Blue!

Actually yes. More noteworthy. Those of us reading this travel. The 69 people shot in Chicago is all inner city gun violence that nobody really cares about. . It’s thought that when inner city thugs shoot inner city thugs they are actually doing a favor to society in general, as they will only go on to do more illegal things, get locked up and continue to be a public charge.

Why is it inappropriate to dress comfortable for a long flight ? I see people going around in pajamas and fuzzy slippers , and that’s the guys . and the lady talking about teens being influenced , If you raise them right it won’t matter . They see more than that on TV { commercials } .

The only people going to complain are wives without the body to wear these cloths, hubby might look. I don’t think that is as revealing as some stewardesses in tight skirts.

Who cares where you get your appetite as long as you eat at home. She had more on than many I see walking the streets , in school and shopping at Wal Mart. It is the women that have such short skirts on that sitting down exposes everything.
Granted she was not dressed in the lets go flying outfit but still was covered. Had she been 50 Years Old, lumpy and wrinkled, I doubt anything would have been done but a shake of the head and walk on.

No bad at all, should see what walks around in Wal-mart. A family store.

Ah ! Once again, the Puritans that came here to avoid persecution are persecuting everyone that doesn’t agree with their standards and principles. How predictable. Now, they get to be the authority.

I agree with Jetblue. This girl calls attention to her body with the outfit. Teens are especially vulnerable to such skimpy clothing. She should save it for her job.

Seems to me that she is covered more than a lot of teenagers nowadays. Looks OK to me, but I wouldn’t be caught dead in that myself. (even when I was a teenager!)

A burlesque dancer , that is it ; advertising what she is ; keep your qualifications to yourself and private ; do not bring them in public .
