An actor who played a bit part in an independent gangster film and used a prop pellet gun without a New Jersey gun permit likely won’t have to serve a prison term.
Carlo Goias goes by the stage name Carlo Bellario. He was charged under the state’s strict gun statute, which requires permits for firearms including the airsoft gun he used while filming a car chase scene in “Vendetta Games.” Airsoft guns fire nonlethal plastic pellets.
The 48-year-old Toms River resident on Wednesday accepted a plea deal offer calling for him to receive probation when he’s sentenced in October.
Bellario initially said he’d reject the deal as a matter of principle. He relented after his attorney told him he could face up to 30 years due to prior felony convictions prosecutors say include theft and burglary.

Calling these clowns actors is quite a stretch. Even the A actors today wouldn’t land a soap opera role in the 80’s. Look at Mark Wahlberg. He was hailed a great actor for his accurate accent of a Gloucester fisherman and Lowell boxer. Wow! He grew up in Boston. Why wouldn’t he have that regional accent.
Carlo is very lucky that his education concerning New Jersey gun laws won’t culminate in a prison sentence (unless he repeatedly violates his probation). But since he is an actor and probably heavily influenced by the Hollywood crowd, then he’s surely supported the candidates who wrote the laws that got him in this mess. Maybe Carlo should talk to an NRA member and become fully informed about the gun-control legislation that is strangling this country? But probably he won’t. Next election he’ll be voting for those “New York’ liberal values-and the gun control-as he votes for Hillary. Call me cynical.
New Jersey, Connecticut , Massachusets and New York . Four states , saturated in liberalism , where gun laws made by legislatures with no common sense or knowledge of what the subject is about. The word firearm, gun etc. is anethama period . They are an embarrassment to those of us whom were endowed with rational thought and healthy minds .
