Jared Kushner leaving politics… forever

Jared Kushner, the former White House adviser, is leaving politics for good.

Kushner is in the late stages of his plans to launch an investing firm called Affinity Partners that will be headquartered in Miami.

He is reportedly looking to open a second office in Israel to “pursue regional investments to connect Israel’s economy and India, North Africa, and the Gulf.”

Since leaving the White House, Kushner has also spent the past six months writing a book about his work in the executive branch under his father-in-law, former President Donald Trump.

Broadside Books, a conservative imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, announced in June that Kushner’s book will come out in early 2022. Kushner has begun working on the memoir, currently untitled, and is expected to write about everything from the Middle East to criminal justice reform to the pandemic.

“His book will be the definitive, thorough recounting of the administration — and the truth about what happened behind closed doors,” Broadside announced Tuesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Kushner was often at the center of the Trump administration’s policies — whether brokering the normalization of relationships between Israel and United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco — the so-called Abraham Accords — or playing a key role in a criminal justice bill passed by Congress in 2018.

Trump issued a statement in June that he was also “writing like crazy” and had turned down two book offers “from the most unlikely of publishers.”
