Back in November, it was reported that White House advisor Jared Kushner urged then-President Donald Trump to give up his challenges to the integrity of the 2020 election.
It was a major break in Trump’s inner circle, and perhaps a telling sign of things to come.
Just months later, son-in-law Kushner is making a move that has raised eyebrows among critics.
He’s gone viral for giving President Joe Biden and his administration praise amid the White House’s decision to rejoin the Iran nuclear deal that Trump has famously blasted over the years.
Kushner praised Biden in an op-ed featured in the Wall Street Journal.
He wrote that he thought Biden was making a “smart diplomatic move.”
“While many were troubled by the Biden team’s opening offer to work with Europe and rejoin the Iran deal,” Kushner wrote. “I saw it as a smart diplomatic move. The Biden administration called Iran’s bluff. It revealed to the Europeans that the [Iran deal] JCPOA is dead and only a new framework can bring stability for the future.”
Though Kushner is making headlines for his embrace of Biden, Trump’s son-in-law made sure to praise the former president as well.
It’s because of the former president and his policies, Kushner says, that America was able to have a position of power over Iran.
All Joe has to do is play the hand Trump left him at the table.
As for Kushner, the public move comes on the heels of reports that the once-close member of the Trump circle had fallen out of favor with the ex-president — and sources also say that as of now they are barely on speaking terms.
Are we headed for a major family rift?
