Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush came in sixth place among the GOP presidential hopefuls in the Iowa caucus, despite spending more in the state than any candidate from either party.
According to MSNBC, Bush supportrers spent $14.9 million of his Super PAC’s money in the Hawkeye State, not including national advertisements or campaign funds.
Bush received a total of 5,165 votes in Iowa, amounting to only 2.8 percent of the Republican turnout.
This amounts to $2,884 per Iowa vote.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio spent the next largest amount of money at $11.8 million. But his campaigns investment paid over ten times the return after Rubio received 43,132 votes Monday, or $273.57 spent per vote.
JEB–Save face and save money. Bow out gracefully. Vigorously support the national Rep. candidate put and help put an end to the Obama nightmare. The burning Bush is out since it used up all its fuel I pray to in Iowa, the just don’t know enough to go away.
If money could buy votes we could determine the winner based on the size of the bank accounts.
Social media has helped democracy by taking away some of the advantages of the biggest spending campaigns. Jeb showed that lots of money can’t fix a candidacy which the people don’t want.
I’ve lived through two Bush administrations. I really don’t see a need to elect a third. Papa Bush left our country in a recession and with a haphazardly ended war. George W left office with an economic collapse under his belt and two overwhelming military victories that were so shaky we couldn’t withdraw our troops. The Middle East and the world is in worst shape now thanks to the leadership of the Bush family than it was before either became president.
By the way Bill Clinton did nothing to help the situation in the Middle East. Hillary was secretary of state as the terrorists over through the entrenched Middle East dictators under Arab Spring. Neither Clinton has demonstrated the ability to deal competently with foreign hotspots.
I too have been through both Bush administration’s and Slick Willie. I am sick of both families. They are well compensated by we tax payers. Please can they go away. Jeb just flushed all that money down the toilet or ended up in a Clinton closet.
So much for being a fiscal conservative.
