When will people ever learn…
When you mess with the bull, you get the horns!
Or almost get the horns for one clueless tourist meandering through Yellowstone National Park recently.
The popular Instagram page @touronsofnationalparks recently captured a clueless tourist venturing too close to a nearby buffalo, seemingly naive to the fact multi-ton animals in the wild might react and defend themselves — especially from camera-laden tourists that lack boundaries.
The bison charged to scare her off, and she was able to scamper away, only to faceplant right in the middle of the road. Luckily for her, it could have been worse.
Take a look.

Though the bison is not actually charging in the video, its tail is elevated, which animal experts say is a sign of aggression in most bovids, including bison, buffalo and domestic cattle. It’s a sure sign that the beast is sending a message to “Stay away!”
Unfortunately, this is the latest in a long line of close calls tourists have had with bison at Yellowstone.
A New Jersey tourist was gored by a bison at Yellowstone last June after a large group of visitors approached the animal too closely.
Last June, a 47-year-old tourist from Cape Coral, Fla., was gored by a bison “after he approached it too closely” in the Lake Village area, the NPS said.
Both men suffered minor injuries.
Park officials continue to hammer home the point that tourists need to exercise caution — and common sense.
“Wild animals can be aggressive if people don’t respect their space” and “It is your responsibility to stay more than 25 yards away from all large animals — bison, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, moose, and coyotes — and at least 100 yards away from bears, wolves, and cougars,” NPS officials said after last year’s attacks.
“If wildlife approach you, move away to always maintain these safe viewing distances,” the NPS continued. “Bison will defend their space when threatened and have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal. They are unpredictable and can run three times faster than humans.”
Unfortunately, some idiots will never learn!
