President Donald Trump has many accomplishments under his belt during his first year in office — and former President Barack Obama’s legacy cannot compete.
For Trump, because accused of racism and sexism is nothing new… but there is a major detail that the liberal media is missing.
Trump has hired an overwhelming amount of women for senior-level positions in the White House — a feat that Obama never came close to.
President George W. Bush did much better than his Republican predecessors, but even he fell short to the triumph Trump has accomplished by giving women a voice.
Although Trump has reached a level of achievement that no other president has come close to, he has received no credit for his choice of women in his cabinet and in the West Wing. Nor has he sought any. Trump has simply hired the best people for the job — the exact opposite of sexism.
Of course, you won’t hear that from the mainstream media. Instead, the media falsely reported that Trump was appointing “more white and male than any first cabinet since Reagan” before the inauguration, and never followed-up. This comment was fueled by House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi who reported that Trump only valued the opinions of “guys named Steve.”
The New York Time reported a full week prior to Trump even taking office that he preferred men over women for senior roles.
A year later, and it’s easy to prove how incredibly wrong that was.
There have been many, many successes in the first year of the Trump administration including a record stock market, unemployment at a 17-year low, illegal border crossing lowered, and thousands of bonuses given to American workers thanks to Trump’s tax reform.
But, did the mainstream media ever report on the women who helped make this accomplishment happen?
That would be a no.
If Trump was a Democrat, these accomplishments would be shouted through the rooftops.
But, just because liberals do not want to give Trump and the women of his administration credit for all of the hard work they put forth to make American great again does not mean we should not honor them.
According to The Hill, here are all of Trump’s female appointees to major senior positions in government: Nikki Haley, Ambassador to the United Nations; Elaine Chao, Secretary of Transportation; Kirstjen Nielsen, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security; Dr. Heather Wilson, Secretary of the Air Force; Sarah Sanders, White House Press Secretary; Kellyanne Conway, Counselor to the President; Linda McMahon, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration; Betsy DeVos, Secretary of Education; Jovita Carranza, U.S. Treasurer (also a minority and first-generation Mexican American immigrant); Neomi Rao, Regulation Czar; Seema Verma, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; Heather Brand, Associate Attorney General; Kelly Sadler, Director of Surrogate & Coalitions Outreach; Mercedes Schlapp, Senior Communications Advisor; Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the President; Hope Hicks, Communications Director; Jessica Ditto, Deputy Director of Communications; and Dina Powell, Deputy National Security Adviser.
And, it goes without saying that we appreciate First Lady Melania Trump, too. She has been an amazing advocate for our country and has stepped up to the plate during times of crisis.
Trump’s accomplishments as a president have not only propelled the Republican party, but it has also been a giant leap forward for womankind.
The fact that the administration doesn’t need to shove this accomplishment in everyone’s face shows just how far we’ve come.
Meritocracy has returned.
