Professors are again manning the picket line at 14 Pennsylvania state universities.
Friday marks the third day since they walked off their jobs.
The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education says it didn’t formally negotiate with its faculty union on Thursday, but is working to move toward a fair contract. The system says it’s attempting to debunk untrue claims about negotiations.
Members of the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties first went on strike at 5 a.m. Wednesday after contract negotiations with the state stalled. The union represents more than 5,000 faculty and coaches.
The union says the strike will continue until a deal is reached.
Each university is providing specific instructions to the system’s more than 100,000 students.

My area is very bad as the Chinese owned farms in Mexico and SA Countries withh cheap labor and our water from All American canals is putting our farmers out of business. Our country needs to stop the flow of cheap non inspected vegetables out of our country. Don’t like the idea of foreign countries owning our food supply.
Don’t like our packing plants being sold to foreign countries.
I live in St. Paul, MN and have done a bit of work at the U of MN. It’s not a very well-kept secret that many Professors do very little teaching/lecturing. That task is left to graduate student assistants. The Professors spend their time writing papers in hopes of future recognition. So all of you citizens of Pennsylvania should know that most of these Professors are completely useless, and could be fired without harming the Universities/colleges at all.
Lot of professors are foreign born. I was going to a university dental college for dental work and last time I was there, 8 years ago, not one white person or American citizens. The students were all from foreign country. My student was from Jordan. His wife was pregnant and their visa would be up before she has baby but they would stay until baby is born. That baby is a citizen and this is a big issue with illegals getting funds .
