The controversial Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), a so-called Christian denomination known more for protesting soldiers funerals than for preaching the gospel, is at it again. This time, their disgusting protest plans are taking them to our nation’s national cemetery, just in time for Veterans Day.
According to the WBC’s website, the group is planning to take their “We Pray for More Dead Soldiers” and “Thank God for 9/11” signs and hate speech to Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day this Wednesday.
The group specifically targeted the day to send a message to those supporting our troops, and says honoring them on Veterans Day is akin to “worshiping the dead.” WBC has also declared that its protests are a warning from God.
The group’s announcement goes on to say, “Arlington National Cemetery is a giant middle finger to your creator. It is the exact opposite of what God instructs you to do. Now, put away your filthy imaginations and OBEY while you still draw breath.”
Veterans Day is the anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I in 1918, and is celebrated across the country as a time to honor the men and women who have served in our armed forces.
I pray that GOD will deal with everyone involved in the Westboro Baptist Church protest of out American soldiers. Please help these people understand that they are not doing GOD’s WILL by degrading our troops and praying for their downfall.

I am a baptist. I do not know anyone like those people,they are so full of hatred! Here is what the scriptures say about Soldiers ‘ Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. John 15:16 . God advanced many military battles, his strategies are perfect, God forgives anyone who asks. I cannot say how God will deal with them, being hateful in their actions, but from what I know about Him, he won’t be happy.

right and if we love God we will do what is morally right.

This is a Church in name only. I am of Baptist background, and have been a member of several throughout my lifetime, and I am still a member of a Baptist Church, and I never encountered such hatred for the military before. Don’t these people realize that our freedoms in this Country are the result of those fighting men and women of the armed services who gave, in a big way, their own lives so that we could have the freedom of worship, and many more freedoms. One thing is for certain, they will get their just reward when Christ says, “Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity, I never knew you.” The only thing we can do is pray that God wakes them up to the truth, before it is too late. I wish Westboro Baptist Church would remove baptist and church from their name. They give baptists and churches a bad name due to their actions. In fact, I don’t know of any baptist church which spends their time protesting and name calling. The baptist churches I know of tell people about Jesus and support a variety of causes intended to help their communities. WBC does none of that.
The baptist church I attend recognized our veterans during Sunday’s worship services. Our freedoms wouldn’t last long if we didn’t have a military working to protect them. Recognition and remembrance is far from worship.
The WBC protestors thrive on media attention. I wish the media would wise up and ignore this group. Once they realize no one is paying attention to them anymore they will hopefully disappear. Once again, this group is a baptist church in name only. Their actions will not be found in actual Bible-believing baptist churches.
The majority of the dead are Christians and volunteered to protect other countries from the attacker threatening to kill them. None of these men and women are an insult to GOD. Read the Old Testament and learn what GOD had his followers do to their enemies. Its time we as Christians stood against our enemies and eliminate the threat. MUslims and others have tried to eliminate true CHRISITANITY for centuries and each time they are pushed back. This time we have to fight our own government while defending ourselves from the enemy. I would like to see WBC make these expressions specifically towards Congress and Our Commander-In-Chief, and see what response they get. My husband and I stood guard with many many others from our city when these nut jobs tried to protest at a funeral for a local boy. We lined the streets, and Westboro was successfully turned back. The parents and family were protected from the insults and abominations that “church” spits out. My bet is that Westboro never crosses the state line on Wednesday.
