Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett has quickly become the unofficial viral darling of the Democratic Party.
Over the past two weeks, Crockett has unleashed a series of unhinged remarks and antics that have gone viral across social media.
Recently, Crockett, who sits on the House committee overseeing DOGE, spoke at a virtual rally for the “Tesla Takedown movement,” a so-called “peaceful protest platform” organizing demonstrations at Tesla locations across the country on March 29, made the following comments:
“On March 29, it’s my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down,” Crockett said.
The words prompted Attorney General Pam Bondi to issue a stern warning to the congresswoman, saying:
“She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we are going to fight to protect all the Tesla owners throughout this country.”
There was also a video that surfaced of her allegedly assaulting a Capitol Hill media correspondent.
But perhaps Crockett’s most vile stunt came last week when she spoke in front of the Human Rights Campaign and called Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who has been in a wheelchair for decades, “Governor Hot Wheels.”
CROCKETT: “So we out in deez hot *** Texas streets, honey. Y’all know we got governor hot wheels down there. Come on now, and the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot *** mess, honey.”
Gov. Abbott has been in a wheelchair for decades.

Sure, one could make the argument that Crockett is simply firing back at her critics. But a panel on the Real Time With Bill Maher show exposed just how bad her antics are for herself, and the Democratic Party.
Columbia professor John McWhorter joined the show and said jokes about someone’s disability in real life cross a line, and he seemed genuinely displeased with it.
He also said that Crockett is trying to inject the “ghetto cat fight” element into the party, the discourse, and on Capitol Hill.

McWhorter added that she said that joke with “dismissive hostility” instead of comical inflection, as one would hear during a roast.
“If she thinks that being black and fabulous gives her a pass on that, then she’s got a really unfortunate sense of what black is,” he added.
McWhorter also dove into the on-going chaos that has put a stain on the Ivy League school he teaches at, especially in the aftermath of anti-Israel protests at the school.
He dove into why wokeness is a serious problem on college campuses. He prefaces it by saying that he does not deal with most students, though he did say that he’s been on a blissful sabbatical from the chaos at Columbia.
He noted that his place of employment has attempted to dampen the antisemitic environment, like having card access to be on campus to prevent pro-terrorist mobs from hurling slurs at Jewish students, and the firing of three administrators whose writings were antisemitic.
McWhorter was skeptical that the Trump administration was interested in combating this form of harassment, but fully admitted that far-left protests and messaging are a the major problem.
