After vowing to stay out of the world of politics, Ivanka Trump made a surprise visit to the White House this week that turned heads for one group of visitors.
This week, the Philadelphia Eagles visited the White House for a ceremony commemorating their victory in Super Bowl LIX.
Presidents have been inviting sports teams to visit them at the White House since Andrew Johnson welcomed a couple of baseball clubs to the residence in 1865, and that eventually spawned a tradition that’s seen a string of Commanders in Chief extend an invite to squads who are able to win a championship.
But this visit was different, including for Eagles cornerback Eli Ricks who is apparently a very big fan of Ivanka Trump based on what he had to say after encountering her in person during the team’s visit.
“Donald trump daughter is beautiful damn,” Ricks posted on X.

“After seeing her in person Ivanka is exactly my type.,” he added.

Despite the playful words from Ricks, Ivanka Trump did take the time to showcase some highlights from the Eagles trek to the White House, including a special moment between her son and Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley.
Trump shared a video of her son Theodore Kushner racing Barkley in the Rose Garden.
Celebrating with champions at the White House today! 🏅🎉 Congratulations to the @Eagles on an amazing season and Super Bowl win !

“My highlight of the day? Theo challenging @saquon [Barkley] to a race in the Rose Garden after my father wisely demurred!” she added. “Thanks, Saquon for being such a great sport!”
In the clip, you can see Kushner in the Rose Garden throwing a football back and forth to Barkley as each takes turns running to catch it.
Near the end of the clip, the Eagles star and Theodore square off to race to the other side of the garden, with Barkley taking an obvious step on the young Kushner to win the race.
Other pictures in the clip included a photo of Saquon and President Trump posing for a photo together and a family photo taken in the Oval Office that included Trump, Ivanka, Barkley, Theodore, and Joseph.
Barkley recently made headlines when images surfaced of him with Trump. He later defended hitting the golf links with the president, putting those insane critics squarely in their place.
“Some people are really upset cause I played golfed [sic] and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT,” Barkley wrote in his post on X.
“Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand.”
“Just golfed with [Barack] Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump!” he added. “Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day.”
During the White House celebration, Trump praised the Eagles for their victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 and noted how the team came close to football immortality in Super Bowl 57, only to suffer a heartbreaking loss by three points [to the Chiefs].
“This year the Eagles were determined to get it back and get it back they did,” the president said. “This season started off slow, but you soon caught fire with your great coach inspiring you. And you got the ball to your superstar running back [Barkley], who I met yesterday … He is a great young guy and incredible football player.”
