Is Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ disgraceful career finally over?
A few short weeks after Willis’ replacement prosecutor declined to pursue charges against President Donald Trump, prosecution that Willis has dragged on for years, Willis hit a pathetic new low yesterday that cemented her legacy and probably ended her career.
Yesterday, Willis was in court to face questions from a Georgia state Senate committee over her actions in the now-overturned case.
During the hearing (which was under oath) Willis was visibly upset as the committee pressed her on a number of issues, including how much Nathan Wade, the man whom she made a special prosecutor in the case and had a relationship with, had been paid.
This was one of the multiple meltdowns Willis had. Take a look —

Wade said that she didn’t review the invoices that Wade submitted, but that she “allowed him to bill 160 hours a week.”
According to witnesses in the room, she reportedly subsequently corrected that answer about 160 hours a week to 160 hours a month. According to reports, Wade was paid $700,000 for the case for the time he was on it.
Then she absolutely lost it in a scathing rant about race.
“Why don’t you investigate how many times they called me the n word?” she ranted. Then she claimed that she didn’t review the invoices and had trouble just giving a straight answer as to who did review them.
Willis got testy again when she was asked about how involved Wade was in meetings.

She said they were going to have to show her what Wade said about it.
“I don’t really trust you,” she said to the committee.
Willis went off the rails at another point, accusing them of “trying to intimidate me.”
🚨NEW: Fani Willis *COMES APART AT SEAMS* as she accuses GA State Senate Committee of "TRYING TO INTIMIDATE [HER]"🚨

And the cherry on top ended with Willis randomly getting in a shot at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), saying she wasn’t going to “quit in a month.” Greene is leaving Congress in January.
As previously reported by The Horn News, the ongoing career blows to Willis have gone beyond losing the Trump case.
An Atlanta judge ruled in March 2025 that Willis’ office “intentional, not done in good faith, and were substantially groundless and vexatious” refused to turn over documents requested under Georgia’s Open Records Act, and ordered Willis to pay over $54,000 in attorney fees to Trump co-defendant Michael Roman’s lawyer.
“Willis’ misconduct during the investigation and prosecution of President Trump was egregious, and she deserved nothing less than disqualification. This proper decision should bring an end to the wrongful political, lawfare persecutions of the President,” Sadow said.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution summed it up simply by saying that Willis being removed and then the case being dropped “is a crushing blow to the nationally known prosecutor and is certain to tarnish her reputation for years to come.”
