Donald Trump supporters leaving the presidential candidate’s rally in San Jose were pounced on by an angry mob of anti-Trump leftists, who threw punches and destroyed property of some the Trump rally-goers.
A dozen or more people were hit and car windows were broken. Trump hats grabbed from supporters were set on fire on the ground. At least one woman was pelted in the head with an egg.
Police stood their ground at first but after about 90 minutes moved into the remaining crowd to break it up and make arrests. At least four people were taken into custody, though police didn’t release total arrest figures Thursday night. One officer was assaulted, police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said.
The crowd, which had numbered over 300 just after the rally at the San Jose Convention Center, were rowdy and angry.
The violent mob attacked and kicked the cars of Trump supporters leaving the rally, and chased some on foot. Some Trump supporters who stood their ground were surrounded at beaten, as seen below:
“Our police officers have done an extremely courageous and professional job so far,” San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo told The Associated Press by phone.
Incredibly, the mayor — a Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter — blamed Trump and his supporters’ presence in the city for the thuggish attacks.
“At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign,” Liccardo said.
Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee, spoke for about 50 minutes at the rally, sniping at Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and calling her speech on foreign policy earlier in the day “pathetic” and “sad to watch.”
Trump supporter Debbie Tracey, a U.S. Navy veteran from San Jose, said she came to hear Trump speak, and left his rally with two hats, a T-shirt and a handful of signs that said “Veterans for Trump.”
Passing in front of a wall of rabid protesters, many chanting in Spanish, she said she supported Trump’s call for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
“I’ll go help build the wall because if you are going to come to this country, land of opportunity, you should be here legally,” she said.

I don’t support everything Mr. Trump has said and done recently. But the alternative is voting for those who cause all of this political chaos. The more Mexican flags I see, the bigger wall I want built. And staffed by Border Patrol agents who are allowed to do their job. We already have enough poorly educated, poorly skilled people in our country. Don’t need more from Mexico and the rest of Latin America.
Mayor should be fired for dereliction of duty. Anyone who blames the victims because they exercised 1st Amendment Rights is the one condoning this violent behavior. If they were told to stand down they should be fired anyhow just like we hung German officers who said they were only obeying orders in WWII. See they can do that in CA because they have heavy gun restrictions. This type of situation could be stopped if police chose to do so. Police watch what’s going on and gives the hoodlums enough time to cause injury and danger to innocent American exercising the Conctitutional rights and should expect police protection. There are many ways to stop such dangerous acts by those who want to hurt citizens for listening to a simple speech by a Presidental candidate.
One example, police can expect such criminal actions by people in certain areas where the candidate is speaking and be prepared with powerful cannon water hoses to quail the protesters. Instead of sitting by laughing about what the protesters are doing.

I’m really sick of the media and politicians trying to hold Trump accountable for exercising his #1A right to free speech. Leftist vehemently detest anyone else but themselves doing this. Trump nor can any of his supporters control what theses wild thugs do. There are organizations behind them, paying them good money to go out and reek havoc. If civilized American Patriots were cowards they’d be staying at home quivering in a corner. We clearly see this is not the case. Trump supporters grow stronger in conviction and numbers as this thuggery continues. We hold those adult individuals responsible for their individual actions. They will continue and have the right to continue until they break the laws of our country. Hillary and Obama would love to take away free speech from the citizens, but when it comes to illegal immigrants, they want to grant them all of the rights and help them become citizens so they can vote Democrat.
