Kicks were thrown… and then a college cheerleader was thrown out.
While everyone’s eyes were on the Super Bowl contest between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs on over the weekend, there was another battle unfolding.
A basketball game between Mississippi Valley State and Alabama A&M turned into a near brawl after an MSU cheerleader nearly kicked one of the A&M players during a bizarre solo “routine.”
Play took the players to the other end of the court.
But when the game returned to the MSU end, that same cheerleader stormed onto the court and shoved the A&M player.
The A&M coach started losing his temper at the cheerleader’s antics, and the referees summoned security.

“The Alabama A&M coach, he’s fussing,” Caleb Brunson, a member of the broadcast team, said. “He’s fussing and cussing.”
“Yeah, coach is kinda losing it over here,” his co-host, Andre Williams, replied.
“They’re gonna put one of the cheerleaders out of the game!” Brunson noticed after a pause.
Alabama ended up winning a nailbiter, 70-68 on a last minute shot.
According to the New York Post —
The victory improved Alabama A&M’s record to 10-15, with a 6-6 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Mississippi State dropped to 3-23, with a 2-10 conference record, and missed out on the opportunity to secure an upset with less than a month until the conference tournament.
That was the final meeting between the two teams in the regular season. Alabama A&M defeated Mississippi State, 75-68, on Jan. 4.
