Controversial Fox News star Megyn Kelly has announced her plans to leave the network and become host to multiple shows on NBC.
Now viewers are wondering: Who will replace her?
Sources inside the network say the Murdochs want another woman to fill the popular 9 p.m. time slot, sandwiched between “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Hannity.”
According to “The leading internal contenders include Trish Regan, Shannon Bream, Sandra Smith, and Martha MacCallum. Two sources said Kimberly Guilfoyle is lobbying for the job.”
There has also been social media buzz surrounding TheBlaze star Tomi Lahren, while others say Greta Van Susteren — who recently left the network — should get the nod.

You need to search the list that Trump made for Supreme Court nominees. Trump has said that he will only pull from that list of about I believe 22 people. The Horn News has that list. Ask them for it.

As far as I am concerned, we have a president right now that not a US citizen ( I know he claims to be, but if that is the case, then how in the world did he go to college as a foreign student and get funds from the US Government to go to school in the United States as a foreign student. He has to make up his mind, is he a foreigner or not , if he is a US citizen then he lied to get aid from the United States to go to school as a foreigner and should have to pay back the loans he got from the US Government in the first place. I agree that Harris Faulkner would be the most exceptional choice. She is a beautiful. brilliant, well-spoken woman and journalist (there are so few these days). who is respected by ALL I have NEVER heard a negative word about her. I admire her work-ethic and demeanor. It is most likely that Ms. Faulkner was indeed approached for the position and in her infinite wisdom, privately and quietly rejected any such offer. Ms. Faulkner is highly spoken of by her piers, many of whom seek interviews or appearances on their shows; again she wisely will not avail herself no matter what avenue of media or individuals making such requests. I heard her say something along those line herself, and it made me admire her even more. Obviously, this speaks to her high standards as well as her refusal to compromise those very standards irrespectively. Noting further Ms. Faulkner comes from a military family and her father is a high ranking member.
We could have a letter writing campaign to the powers that be at Fox News as well as Ms. Faulkner to express our opinion. You and I most certainly are not alone on this issue and there is no time like the present.
The Horn is just an another avenue of media – I am new to this site – and never respond to opinion or observations online – but after reading your post, I wanted to share my admiration of Harris Faulkner with you.
Ms. Faulkner will undoubtedly rise to higher places than one can imagine – even herself.

I’m totally in favor of Kimberly Guilfoyle. Don’t mean to demean anyone, but I’m tired of “blond’s with attitudes” that I see all over the new media sites – I have heard her on the “5” and she’s super, strong-willed, willing to take on ALL comers, and has a great legal resume as an assistant District Attorney in San Francisco and LA. My only reservation is that she was a member of the La Raza Lawyers Association, as of 2008 (no idea about then ’til now, which is nearly 9 years ?!?).

Kimberly is an excellent host. She is a happy person and shows much respect to her guests. Has a pleasant voice. She doesn’t talk over her guests like some folks do. Sometimes a host does have to interrupt a guest to keep them on the subject at hand.
Kimberly is the total package. She is smart, conservative, practical, well spoken, extremely good looking, and interacts well with her guests. I am so tired of Fox abandoning common decency in their interview which have become shouting matches with everybody talking at the same time, The directors need to kill the mikes of those who are out of control and force civilized discussion to take place. I have stopped watching the Five completely for 3 reasons, Juan Williams who lacks any semblance of empirical reasoning , Eric Bolling who is nothing more than a washed up baseball player that stutters and stumbles and never says anything relevant, and Greg Gutfeld whose humor is not even a little bit funny. If KG leaves, many viewers will do the same.

I appreciate beauty as much as the next guy but the problem it seems at FNC these days is too much frosting and not enough cake. I want substance and somebody I can listen to, not a Babe that’s possessively worried about her make-up, that her dress is high enough to be borderline indecent, and her knees are pointed in the right direction. I realize I’m in a minority, that gorgeous size-threes are the hook for news anchors. There’s been considerable media attention/focus on whether or not Megyn Kelly, Fox Cable News anchor and potential/probable “queen bee” at Fox, will renew/negotiate a new contract with Fox Cable News. Personally, for a number of cogent and compelling reason which I’ve previously indicated I incorrectly perceived she would re-up. Conversely, since Megyn decided to jump ship from her purported $10M per annum current contract there are a few other current relatively high profile people within Fox who would be very suitable and even gangbuster successors also who exhibit a great deal of pizazz/personality similar to Megyn in my opinion. Many of them have already been mentioned. My favorites who immediately come to mind are Trish Regan and Shannon Bream. Okay, quit your guffaws, under normal circumstances I might at first agree with those of you who justifiably query how could one take someone with the name “Trish,” e.g., seriously when it comes to having the necessary gravitas to anchor such an important and coveted 9 p.m. time slot? But believe me “Trish the dish” certainly fills the bill and so does Shannon Bream too. Why? Both Trish and Shannon are very bright, well-educated, extremely articulate, very personable and especially easy on the eyes. While I’m a big fan of Megyn’s, either Trish or Shannon in my opinion are sufficiently seasoned and charismatic anchors in my opinion to fill the coveted 9:00 p.m. time slot if for whatever reason(s) Megyn bolts the Fox Cable News network.
Kimberly Guilfoyle is also getting a lot of justifiable attention. There are different strokes for different folks and while I respectfully believe that Kimberly is eminently qualified I feel that she will wear and eventually even grate on her audience over time. Accordingly, I intuitively feel that either Trish or Shannon have more equanimity with the Fox Cable News audience and they will have more satisfying lasting staying power with Fox Cable News viewers. I voted for Martha McCallum, of the available choices, but think that Melissa Francis should get consideration. She is a tough as nails interviewer, good screen presence, and has the chops with her background working as Fox Business Network correspondent to adequately cover all conceivable topics. She also impresses as an independent thinker, not the typical media lackey and very quick on her feet. Can live with Guilfoyle if she is the choice, like all of her attributes except the nasally voice, which can become annoying after she speaks for extended periods of time !

Hannity should get his 9:00 time slot back. He is much better than Megyn Kelly who I had difficulty watching interview anyone. It appeared to me that every interviewee was a hostile witness on the stand. Her voice also grates on me. I am glad that she is leaving Fox because I don’t think that she was worth what she was being paid. FNC is the only news source that I think even makes an attempt to be objective. Megyn, definitely was not “fair and balanced”. I lost all respect for her during the last presidential season. As there wasn’t much respect to begin with, it wasn’t a big deal. She may be attractive, but, looks aren’t everything. While Greta is objective and Hannity is a great spokesman for conservative values. Actually, if Fox could get Rush Limbaugh, that would be a real coup.

Hands down Justice Jeanne Piro is the very best choice to fill the time slot between O’Reilly and Hannity and keep the ratings going strong the entire evening of Fox shows. The question is since Jeanne has a very successful show on Saturday evening, would she want to give it up and change to the time commitment of a daily show? We viewers would not have to worry that Jeanne is a closet liberal like Kelly who would turn on us so we would have to avoid watching her show. Shark Tank is on at the same time and is quite entertaining to fill the time before Hannity comes on. Another great choice would be Laura Ingraham, but she has a very successful radio show–would she want to give that up? The last great choice is Kimberly G from the Five. I don’t watch that show because I can’t stand the Democrat talking points puppet Juan Williams and the sour looking women who poses as the token liberal. Love Eric Bolling and Kimberly. I have not seen any of the “eligibles” display the uncompromisingly, sharp wit that Kelly has shown. Too many folk have responded angrily to Kelly as though she were a laudatory member of the Trump team, instead of a high-salaried journalist who is paid to be provocative. Some folk have shown just a bit too much naivete´. Kelly´s critique of Trump added to rather than subtracted from his support.

I like Greta and Kimberly both very well. They both do a great job of telling the truth and do good things for people.
Megyn was HOT when she came on after Fox and Friends years ago. After praising Roger Ailes for years she tag teamed with Gretchen Carlson to get a 20 Million Dollar settlement. Greta didn’t like that and now Bill O’Reilly got fed up with Megyn and her book too. Kimberly can do it and many others too!
I think the women at Fox who are in position to move up due to experience and a variety of it is Martha McCallum and
Shannon Bream. Both have been given a chance to replace Megan Kelly when she was gone and they have been
giving several others a turn at it. I think it needs to be someone who doesn’t try to answer all the questions before the
guest has a chance or tip her politics with her attitude. I think it should be a woman between the two men’s programs
for the sake of variety. It needs to be someone with a good strong presence. Shannon Bream has been moved around
quite a bit into lots of different hosting experiences such as Bret Baer’s show. She has also covered the Supreme Court
and I think she and Martha have a nice attitude when interviewing and can take charge of a show.
Judge Pirro or Laura Ingils are far better choices than the majority of those suggested.

A male voice would be great. Also, we would not have to look at the indecent dresses that show the thighs of these “dolls”. Most of these girl’s voices are just horrible to listen to. They talk out of their throats and are not pleasant sounds. I have to turn them off, it is way too distracting.

Trish Regan showed remarkable knowledge on a variety of difficult subjects and could not be intimidated by aggressive guests,
Great was not a spectacular woman, but she was all news, dependable, honest, she was like a rock, greatly respected by all, Kimberly always makes for interesting watching and listening and her beauty is matched by brains, Sandra Smith and Watters made for fascinating watching, so does Eric Bolen, and of course, nobody would be unhappy if Shawn Hannity would get that time slot. Your problem is, that you have an abundance of qualified people, who are every bit as interesting, if not more so than Megan Kelly, and I feel sorry that Fox has to make that decision, maybe they could take turns, or you could cast lots. Good luck!

The best prepared for in-depth presentations on hard topics is Shannon Bream. Shannon’s on-screen presents conveys competence, attractiveness and humility.
It is a hard choice and I feel sorry that Fox has to choose from such and abundance of qualified people.

People seem to forget that Greta Van Susteren already had her show and chose to leave Fox soon after Roger Ailes left. I don’t think she would even be considered. I think it will come down to Kimberly Guiifoyle or Martha MacCallum. My pick would be Guilfoyle, but either would be fine with me. I liked Megyn, but sometimes she could be a bit too smirky for my taste. A good sense of humor is always best in smart, beautiful women, but doing the Oliver Hardy look into the camera too often was a bit much for me.
Gretta is smart, wise and able. I don’t know how much conversation is limited on Fox, but she delivers and knows what she’s talking about, I realize that there whom are wise, but she is much more sensible. All of the named persons for the job are acceptable by me, but I’m just stating what I feel. The one I disliked most though was Megan Kelly whom seemed always wanting to pick a fight on either side.
Megyn Kelly has been “DONE” since her attempt to bring down Donald Trump in the first debate, followed by day-after-day negative comments and attacking Trump throughout his campaign.

I don’t care who replaces Kelly as long as they speak slow and clear. Kelly did a great job at that and We always knew it was time to watch TV after O’Riley got over praising himself. Kelly did seem to be too much of a Democrat to be on Fox but there are others on Fox like that too. We don’t need ‘fair and balanced’ we need the side of the news that NBC refuses to cover.

Just for laughs, i think the most overwhelming personality and politically correct choice, has to be RUPAUL!!! Because he has long, sexy legs ( a requirement for tv viewers) ; being that he’s a man in drag, he should be safe from sexual harassment from the brass ( lord let’s hope so) ; has no problem giving the talk to the hand motion ; and you have to admit that it takes a lot of balls and a spine to strut around on tv in high heels, a wig, lipstick & mascara, while wearing outrageous dresses and costumes. My favorite has been Martha since i started look at fox. She always make my day, with her exceptionally beauty, smile and female look.
My number 2 is Lea Gabrielle, the fighter pilot. I do not know too much about her, but as a former pilot, I am sure she can handle all leftist people or comments from them, by just bombing them with the right answers we like. She must have extraordinary qualifications, down to earth, smart, quick thinking, and lots of technical knowledge as well… etc etc. For me she is a delightful “dynamite” woman.

Months ago I began changing channels when Megyn Kelly came on. I am so glad that she is gone from Fox. Next, I would love to see Juan Williams go, and shortly thereafter, Shepard Smith. Then, I would not have to switch channels. I would love to see Judge Janine in Kelly’s slot. She is one smart lady and tells it like it is. I believe she would be perfect in that time slot. I think there needs to be a lady in that slot….otherwise there would be three males in a row. Don’t think I could go for that.

I think it is important to keep a woman in that time slot. Tucker Carlson is good at his new show at his current time slot and O’Reilly should stay at his current time as well as Hannity. I think both Shannon Bream and Martha MacCullum would be good choices to replace Meghan Kelly as they are both very bright and capable. I like Kimberly on The Five and Judge Jeannine is more suited to her Sunday evening show. Some of the other choices are good but need more experience before they take on their own show.

I hit the mute everytime Juan or Gutfeld opens their mouth to speak on ANY program. I like Hannity, O’Reilly, and Tucker, but I wish each of them would stop arguing with their guest. They are NOT debating; they are arguing! When they all start talking at the same time, the viewer cannot understand what any of them are saying . . . so I hit the OFF button.

It is terrible when they start talking all at the same time (waist of time). They should arrange an automatic speech cutter, when someone interrupt, can’t keep their mouth shut. When an invited person is “cut of” more then for ex. 5 times he or she will be banned to perform on Fox News. It all has to be more organised.
Many times i wounder why some people are invited to the show, especially when for ex. Tucker already knows the best. Do not invite these people when they are not allowed to speak their meaning, left or right. I might be interested to really know more about that person. He, Tucker, will win a lot when at the end makes a statement we like to hear, like “pulling the person in the nose” (see below Stephen Potter).
Worst of all is when they speak like Megyn Kelly as when she many times do not separate the words and wants to brake the world record in puking letters.
All at Fox should read all the books from “STEPHEN POTTER” to learn. That would make the show amusing and funny in a serious way at the same time.
