With just one week until the Nov. 3 general election, President Donald Trump seems to be competing against both Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and the mainstream media.
But this week, Trump scored two major endorsements from the media.
The New York Post, which recently broke the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story, as well as The Boston Herald, have formerly endorsed the president’s re-election efforts.
The editorial board at The Post, which has been effecitvely banned on social media after breaking the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story last week, said the economy was in better hands with Trump in the White House.
“We can return to the explosive job creation, rising wages and general prosperity we had before the pandemic. We can have economic freedom and opportunity, and resist cancel culture and censorship,” The Post wrote. “We can put annus horribilis, 2020, behind us and make America great again, again. We can do all this — if we make the right choice on Nov. 3”
The New York Post has a daily circulation of over 230,000 readers.
The Herald, which boasts a subscription pool of appoximately 73,000 paid readers, pulled no punches in their endorsement.
The Boston newspaper wrote that Trump “hasn’t done himself any favors with his incessant Tweets, revolving door cabinet and mixed messaging on the coronavirus.”
However, they said Trump’s personality isn’t the issue voters should be deciding on. They should decide on smart policies that can move America forward.
“He’s against defunding police, for holding China accountable for COVID-19 negligence and putting America first on trade, defense, the courts and, again, the economy,” The Herald editorial board wrote. “He’s what America needs right now, decisive action to get us back to pre-pandemic strength — not an unfeasible spending spree in the name of a progressive utopia.”
