Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made his most provocative accusation yet on Wednesday, accusing President Barack Obama of helping found the Islamic State group that is wreaking havoc from the Middle East to European cities.
“In many respects, you know, they honor President Obama,” Trump said Wednesday during a raucous campaign rally outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “He is the founder of ISIS.”
He repeated the allegation three more times for emphasis.
The Republican presidential nominee in the past has accused his opponent, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, of founding the militant group. As he shifted the blame to Obama on Wednesday, he said “crooked Hillary Clinton” was actually the group’s co-founder.
In many ways, he’s right.
Trump has long blamed Obama and his former secretary of state – Clinton – for pursuing half-cocked foreign policies that created a power vacuum in Iraq that was exploited by ISIS. He’s sharply criticized Obama for announcing he would pull U.S. troops out of Iraq, a decision that many Obama critics say created the kind of instability in which extremist groups like ISIS thrive.
The Islamic State group began as Iraq’s local affiliate of al-Qaida, the group that attacked the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001. The group carried out massive attacks against Iraq’s Shiite Muslim majority, fueling tensions with al-Qaida’s central leadership. The local group’s then-leader, Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was killed in 2006 in a U.S. airstrike but is still seen as the Islamic State group’s founder.
Trump’s accusation – and his use of the president’s middle name, Hussein – echoed previous instances where he’s questioned Obama’s loyalties.
In June, when a shooter who claimed allegiance to ISIS killed 49 people in an Orlando, Florida, nightclub, Trump seemed to suggest Obama was sympathetic to the group when he said Obama “doesn’t get it, or he gets it better than anybody understands.”
Trump lobbed the allegation midway through his rally at a sports arena, where riled-up supporters shouted obscenities about Clinton and joined in unison to shout “lock her up.” He railed against the fact that the Orlando shooter’s father, Seddique Mateen, was spotted in the crowd behind Clinton during a Monday rally in Florida, adding, “Of course he likes Hillary Clinton.”

I’m a Trump supporter 150%, but Trump needs to be more active in all states to win. I live in WY and yes it isn’t one of the “important” states, but it is right next to Utah, and you never see anything supporting Trump in this state! I couldn’t wait to go see the movie about Hillary and I was shocked that there are only a few theaters that will receive it, and if I want to go see it I have to drive 5 hours to get there. This is another example on how things are selected in support of Clinton. I think that we as Trump supporters in some of the “less important” states need to get in contact with the Trump campaign and let them know that in order to keep this movement going we have to show support for Trump in all of the states! We need to have a call center asking for support from all of the states not just the east coast. We need to get people on the bus for Trump everywhere before November!

I would like to let the media and politicians know that the American people, especially in the mid-west are tired of being referred to as dumb, plain, hillbilly, stupid etc. Just because we don’t live on the east coast that doesn’t give you the right to treat us that way. When I listen to the news I am shocked at how these guests talk about American people in the mid-west. Don’t they realize that we are just as educated as they are, and up on what is going on in the politics as they are? If the news media was not so ethnic centric they would not view east coast as representing all of America. 1. ISIS or ISIL unlike Al Queda is not a faceless moving target guerilla fighting group. They physically establish themselves visibly in a geographical location that is already a constituent part of an existing country like, Iraq, Syria and Libya.
2. In these countries they constitute there own government, have their own police and military, and collect taxes from the inhabitants who must either comply or be killed. Their police and military operate openly in broad daylight among the civilians, of course unchallenged. If you cared enough you blind ones in this forum would have seen a CNN documentary on life within an ISIS-controlled territory which aired earlier this year.
3. The responsibility to dislodge ISIS in countries where they exist falls squarely on the shoulders of the governments of countries part of whose territories ISIS has illegally and forcefully annexed for its operations. Wouldn’t you agree?
4. If such countries allow themselves to be overrun by ISIS combatants who usually are outnumbered by the peace-loving citizens of such countries it is their fault, totally.
5. With over 4,000 American soldiers (our brothers and sisters) dead fighting the war Iraq due to lies that were told Americans by the Bush Administration, it would be sheer recklessness for a responsible American President to continue to receive body bags from Iraq after investing so much to clear Al Queda from there. Wouldn’t you agree?
6. They took US weaponry, the oil fields, and grew barbarous in their actions. Bush initiated war and leadership overthrow in Iraq. Obama initiated ISIS. So, it is fair to say Obama has responsibility for the formation and growth of ISIS. Hillary Clinton was his helper.

So you have really listened to Trump and his misspeaks, antics, juvenile tantrums and you really believe he can be President of even a banana republic, talk less of The United States of America? The rest of the world is in shock and laughing at us if that means anything to you. I will not go into your immature and ridiculous viewpoints but needless to say that contrary to the now trite cliche of Republicans, I personally am better today than I was in 2008. The losses in my nest egg/investment accounts that were seriously depleted during the last Bush Depression (2006 – 2008) have now been reversed due to the resurgence of Wall Street (remember the Obama Wall Street bailouts and that the Dow Jones Industrial Average has moved from 8,149.09 in December 2008 to 18,613.52 today). The unemployment rate that was 10.9% when Obama was inaugurated in 2009 is 4.9% today. My family now has Obamacare and my 25 year old daughter in grad school is still carried on our Obamacare as our dependent. My home with a mortgage that was under water caused by the Bush/Republican Party Depression up to and including 2008 has gradually and steadily appreciated in value to the point that its value now exceeds my mortgage balance, the desired objective of owing a home in America. I am looking to replace my old family car with a Detroit/US-made car that now competes with Japanese cars in quality and price, thanks to Obama’s bailout of the US auto industry that was on the verge of total collapse due to George W. Bush and the Republicans. And I am paying $2.00 for a gallon of petrol now when your elected officials screamed in 2009 that we would be looking at gas pump prices of over $5/gallon very soon. There is more but just going by the facts I have presented here, my family is definitely doing much better today than we did in the last Bush/Republican Party Depression that almost sent America over the cliff, and we do remember that everyday. Sure the Obama economic recovery is yet to be felt by a very small segment of the American populace and that should be expected knowing the sheer magnitude of the last Bush/Republican Party Depression, but I know that too many Americans (Republicans and Democrats alike), in fact the vast majority of Americans in this country during this same period experienced exactly the same improvement in their lives as my family and I did. So what are you guys talking about? Do you actually live in the United States of America? For goodness sake, stop these lies, guys. It will help and we will all be better off if you learn to tell the truth for a change.

Election time is a good time to see it in action…. different newscasts favor different candidates, and you can tell very simply who they are backing by who comes off smelling like a rose and who come off smelling a lot like something that crawled under the porch and died!! One does good things all day long, and one screws up, demonstrated by partial quotes, taken out of context and incomplete. Not really deniable but also not really a true picture. And it’s not really all just about America… it is about about that One World Order thing….. one person who rules the world. It’s an idea that’s thousands of years old…. and the reason why God put a stop to the building of a Tower that would rise to the skies in Babylon, and instantly changed things so that different groups spoke different languages, and could no longer understand each other. I’ve heard comments like “I’ve heard that, but no one would really ever do that,” and “That’s already been explained that it was just a misunderstanding,” or “That couldn’t have happened or the President would’ve held a press conference and told us,”….. to all of these and their similar relatives, I ask how can a full-grown adult in this country and this century still be so ill-informed and naive about so many things?? It may have made sense before the Pony Express. But in today’s world, I cannot understand such air- headed attitudes or such a total lack of foundational reality. Please people, use your brains. Think about these things. and ask yourself if you really believe everything can be so interconnected and still be random occurrences, or if it just might be possible that there is a group of people, perhaps internationally, that is manipulating us all.

According to various reports re: President Obama’s Security Advisers, etc., the President was heavily cautioned against sending the arms through back doors to Benghazi because he would indeed be arming militant factions which became ISIS.
