The mainstream media has had a field day over the last few weeks blasting Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. The corporate news networks have jumped at every chance to publicize any negative story on The Donald they can – all while hiding major pro-Trump news stories in the shadows.
MSNBC’s top story Wednesday was “GOP reels after problematic day from Trump.” ABC’s lead story declared “Donald Trump Creates Existential Crisis for Republican Party” and CNN led with “The GOP’s Trump freakout.”
In the meantime, three top officials in the Democratic National Committee resigned in the face of a massive email scandal, and President Obama was caught secretly giving $400 million in ransom to Iran.
Still, the media chose to focus on any Trump gaffe that they could dig up. But the notion that Trump’s campaign is in free-fall may be the number-one lie the media is telling.
Because there’s one Trump story the mainstream media isn’t talking about – how surprisingly well organized his campaign has become. And it’s showing up in his ballooning fundraising numbers.
Trump raised $80 million in donations for his campaign and the GOP in July, his campaign announced Wednesday. The funds consist of $64 million through digital and direct-mail solicitations and $16 million through fundraising events hosted by Trump and the RNC.
Maintaining his promise to fund his own campaign, Trump has donated another $2 million of his own money, bringing his total personal investment to $56 million, according to his aides.
An increase in small dollar donations hint at a possibly huge voter turnout for Trump come November.
Trump’s campaign finance chairman Steven Mnuchin said, “We are extremely proud of our 69% growth in small dollar donations which shows the broad based support of over one million donors across America.”
Hillary Clinton has also touted her small dollar donations in a likely ploy to Bernie Sanders supporters. Her website claims her campaign “depends on small donations for the majority of our support.” In reality, a POLITICO report analyzed her Federal Election Commission report and revealed that “67 percent came from donors contributing $2,700 or more. Only 18 percent came from donations of $200 or less.”
Funding is increasingly important as the candidates enter the general election, where manpower is essential to a successful campaign.
And Trump seems to be coming on strong – but you wouldn’t know it turning on the news.
Trump will use these additional campaign funds to target battle ground states. Karen Giorno, a senior Trump adviser, said Trump has “amassed a large army of volunteers and supporters” and continues to add people to the payroll in key states.
“The campaign is in good shape. We are organized. We are moving forward,” campaign manager Paul Manafort told Fox News’s “Happening Now.”
Despite his campaign’s confidence, there remains little hope in Trump visible on the front pages of mainstream news sites.
These major news networks are attempting to convince the American public that Trump’s campaign is slowly crumbling, when reality is actually the opposite.
Even Fox News has jumped onboard, blaring the headline: “Clinton leads Trump by 10 points.”
But what they’re ignoring is that Clinton is likely enjoying the same post-convention bump that Trump enjoyed just weeks before.
The fact is, Trump’s polling numbers, over the long-term, have consistently increased – and this election is a marathon, not a sprint. A July 31st poll from Rasmussen shows Trump and Clinton neck and neck, with Clinton at 41 and Trump at 40. With Clinton’s post-convention bump taken into consideration, the fact is that the presidential race is far closer than it appears.
Trump knows where he stands and is more confident than ever, tweeting Wednesday, “There is great unity in my campaign, perhaps greater than ever before. I want to thank everyone for your tremendous support. Beat Crooked H!”
And based on the facts – and not the headlines — beating Hillary is a definite possibility.

Read the regulations carefully, state the chapter, section, and paragraph regarding transmitting classified information, then close argument with: If you can’t trust Hillary with Classified Information, how can you trust her with our nuclear codes? On Benghazi there is evidence where Stevens asked 3-4 months in advance to assistance. As Secretary of State, why did she not remove all American personnel and close the embassy? Someone who owns a fleet of truck. For each truck they pay an average of $5000.00 per year for just road use tax. That doesn’t include the sales tax they pay for every single gallon of fuel the use. Which is a higher % per gallon than you pay to fill you car up with gas.
Just that example by it self is only less than a half a percent of the total they pay in other
costs. So until you educate youself in something beside a fairy land, maybe you shouldn’t make statements you know nothing about.
The ONLY tax scheme that will level the playing field is a FLAT TAX or VAT. With a reasonable FLAT TAX, people could do their taxes on a postcard. With ZERO exemptions and no deductions. EVERYONE would pay. No exceptions. Corporations included. With the corporations and the wealthy not able to pay some accountant and tax attorney to get them off the hook, the tax coffers would add up in a hurry and the folks in the middle who shoulder MOST of the tax burden would get a much needed break.

And most wealthy people know how to take advantage of every tax loophole in existence. For example Mr. Dayton (Governor of Minnesota) keeps his money in South Dakota. No State income tax in that fine State. So who ultimately pays the most in taxes? The middle class citizens-that’s who.

The way i heard the story, when Dinesh first came to this country, he only had 500 bux in his pocket. When he managed to go to college, he had a small circle of friends. Many years later, he discovered that one of these was running for office. He not only contributed to her campaign, but convinced one of his old friends to do likewise. For this, he went to prison…the only one in American history that was so prosecuted.

IIRC, Henry David Thoreau got put in prison for something or other – probably refusing to pay taxes. One of his famous friends came to visit him(Ralph Waldo Emerson, iirc) and said “What are you doing in there?” Thoreau famously replied, “What are YOU doing out THERE!?!”
The implication should be clear; many good men and women have been imprisoned by “the authorities” for refusing to bow down to their pretense TO authority…and/or for having pissed off someone who IS in authority. There should be no stigma attached.

i have often suggested that to solve the Muslim problem in America, a law should be passed that prohibits the teaching, dissemination, implementation, or imposition of Shar’ia law upon ANYone in America, on penalty of being deported, and at the convict’s expense, too! What Trump needs to do is to find out exactly what kind of “debates” have been planned – will it be a Q&A from “moderators”(who can easily be bought), will it be questions from a pre-screened audience or from “first come, first served” random people?
Back in the day, the League of Women voters selected those who would ask the questions, and it was done in a fair and unbiased way, with each candidate given ample time to answer questions – and even put each other on the spot, e.g. Reagan’s “There you go again, Mr. President,” when addressing Carter.
If it’s going to be a Bill O’Liely-type Q&A, where the “moderator” continually interrupts the candidates before they can complete their thought, first, that’s just rude and unacceptable. Second, a skilled interviewer can often skew an answer toward what they want and to fit their agenda, which ordinarily is not in the interest of America or Americans.
Lastly, The Liar’s greatest fear: she’ll have another petit mal seizure on live teevee, perhaps mid-way through answering a question…or worse, a grand mal where she soils herself, too. If she does the latter, i believe that would be fitting, considering her lifetime of lying, deceiving, berating and abusing, stealing, and murdering.
Trump has an UNBELIEVABLE amount of ammunition to use against The Liar. Any questioner will be hard-pressed to find ANY subject that cannot be linked to her lies, corruption, malfeasance of office, and treason. i think that what would be MOST fair is for each candidate to supply each other with their OWN questions, 12 hours in advance of at least one of the debates…there’ll be a LOT that NEITHER candidate will want to answer, but honesty and trustworthiness will shine through…or not…and the voting public will be able to see and hear and easily evaluate.
Also, i think that ordinary Americans should be able to step up to a mic and ask any question of either candidate – or both.
Personally, i’d love to ask the following compound question:
“Do you believe that judges have the right and duty to prosecute sworn litigants for perjury who get caught lying under oath? If so, what do you think should happen to officeholders who betray the public trust by lying under their oaths of office, and as president, what will you do to root out those in your Executive Branch who betray the public trust by lying under that solemn oath?”

It is difficult for all of us to maintain a positive mental attitude, especially when having to live in the U.S.A. with B.H.Obama and the clintins today. The climate here though would improve if they were safely in prison. Actually the debates are useless. All debaters stand to win and lose because all they do is start a debate over what they said which is why there was a debate in the first place. And they are a way for the news media to make a profit. They decades ago stopped doing anything as a public service. And that was due to demeanor of the participants, not what they said!

Other times they attempt to create issues concerning trivial matters or where none at all actually exist. (This is often a diversionary tactic to keep our minds and attention off the real issues.) They seem to be convinced that they can tell the public how and what to think. And survey polls can be very unreliable. They can be easily skewed by how the questions are asked and by the very demographics of where they are conducted. As to the debates it would be presumptuous at this point to predict how either one of the candidate will perform. They both have their own idiosyncrasies and flaws when speaking. But the debates are our best chance to hear the actual difference between them on issues that really matter. And it will provide us the opportunity to how each of them perform under pressure. This not over yet!
