If you live in a Democratic city, you’re living in a world of s**t.
That’s not an insult, that’s a fact President Donald Trump got a liberal Democratic city to admit in court.
From coast to coast, Democrat-run cities and urban areas pollute their sewer systems and dump millions of tons of raw sewage into local water supplies.
Part of this came to light in a Nashville courtroom this week, as a former plant manager and a supervisor of a local facility admitted they “repeatedly and intentionally” discharged untreated industrial waste into the Nashville sewer system, according to the Justice Department.
“The waste clogged and damaged the city’s water infrastructure, posing a health risk to the community,” said Assistant Administrator Jeffrey A. Hall of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, in a press release obtained by The Horn. .”
But the problem goes way beyond dumping potentially harmful chemicals into the sewer. Liberal mayors have combined sewer systems, which run sewage and drinking water through the same pipes.
Usually, this outdated technology still works OK—unless it rains too heavily. Then, the crap really hits the fan.
Take New York City, where about 70 percent of the city’s 8 million residents lives with a combined sewer system. When it rains a tenth of an inch or more in an hour, the 150-year-old pipes discharge sewage into as many as 460 locations in every borough of the city.
“Think about the kinds of things lingering on New York’s streets, parking lots, and sidewalks (rat poison, cigarette butts, fertilizer, pet waste, litter, gasoline . . .), and you’ll start to get the idea of the pollutants at play,” reported the Natural Resources Defense Council, a left-wing environmentalist group that usually sides with Democrats.
When that happens, “there is a soggy, wet film of brown floating on the water surface,” and “the river has a distinct sewage smell for approximately 48 hours,” said Michelle Luebke, ecology director for the Bronx River Alliance.
What’s that floating in the Hudson River? It’s not a big apple.
New York is one of the worst examples, but it’s not alone.
Take nearby Philadelphia, where America declared her independence 250 years ago.
Some 1.5 million people get their water from its combined sewer system. But “on far too many days each year, the Philadelphia Water Department’s pipes and sewer systems dump huge volumes of raw sewage into our beautiful waters, harming our environment and depriving the public of a safe place to fish, boat and float,” said Hanna Felber, clean water associate with PennEnvironment.
The Philadelphia Water Department released at least 12.7 billion gallons of combined sewage a year into the water every one of the right years between 2016 and 2024. That means it’s not safe for people to swim or wade in the city’s waterways for 195 days out of the year.
So much for blue cities’ Green promises.
And for the most part, critics say, the people paying the price for elitist white liberal environmental policies are brown.
“I saw working-class black and brown communities like those I grew up in and represent being used as dumping grounds for all kinds of dirty uses,” said Philadelphia Councilmember Jamie Gauthier in an October 2025 press conference.
Nationwide, the system has dumped 850 billion gallons of sewage into waterways in cities like Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Youngstown, Milwaukee, and the District of Columbia.
All these cities have two things in common: They are all run by Democrats, and all their citizens are up the creek without a paddle.
Things are so bad in California that left-wingers are suing other left-wingers.
The liberal environmentalist group the San Francisco Baykeeper sued the city for dumping sewage straight into the beautiful San Francisco Bay.
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission “estimates that six percent of its total discharge is sewage,” the Baykeeper reported.
In a typical year, the city dumps between 1.2 billion gallons and 2 billion gallons of human feces, chemicals, and bacteria into the Bay, producing E. Coli.
“Dumping millions of gallons of untreated sewage into Mission Creek and the Bay is unacceptable, avoidable, and illegal. San Francisco Bay and the people of the Bay Area deserve better,” said Sejal Choksi-Chugh, Baykeeper’s executive director.
Of course, San Francisco’s poop problem isn’t confined to the water. The city’s homeless population treat the sidewalks as an outdoor toilet so frequently that the city received 16,000 complaints about human feces over one week in the summer of 2018.
As The Horn reported, the man who oversaw San Francisco’s “poop patrol,” Mohammed Nuru, was charged with public corruption. He later pleaded guilty and received seven years in prison.
But corruption isn’t the problem: Democrats don’t care that their voters have to live in filth.
Gavin Newsom, the governor of California and likely 2028 Democratic presidential hopeful, had no problem cleaning San Francisco’s streets of fresh and dried-on human excrement before Chinese President Xi Jinping visited in November 2023.
The state of California is about to wash Gavin Newsom out of the governor’s mansion shortly. But America has a world of trouble to clean up. These figures show much President Donald Trump has to do in flushing out liberal corruption nationwide.
The next time Democrats accuse you of drinking the conservative Kool-Aid, remind them what they’re swallowing.
