New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a self-declared socialist, says the middle class doesn’t exist anymore — and even the liberal media is starting to turn on her.
The far-left candidate has made plenty of questionable comments during her new found stardom in the Democratic Party that have raised eyebrows and made critics question her ability to serve. And they’re getting worse.
While discussing the older generation, Ocasio-Cortez suggested that national Democrats are stuck in the 90s, back when there was an upper-middle class… and apparently, mini-vans and soccer moms don’t exist anymore.
During a podcast on Tuesday on “Pod Save America,” Ocasio-Cortex was asked about Democrats who do not believe socialism is a good path for Americans to go down.
“We don’t have a party that has been investing in their future,” she responded, saying that most congressional Democrats are roughly 65-years-old.
Ocasio-Cortez said that national Democrats are too busy “working on their reelection” to even make an “investment” into the future of their party because they are stuck in “90’s politics.”
“They were campaigning most when we had more of an American middle class,” Ocasio-Cortez said, “This upper middle class is probably more moderate but that upper middle class does not exist anymore in America.” She blamed Wall Street and income inequality for destroying the upper middle class.
One must wonder… what does she think will happen to the remaining middle class when she starts redistributing wealth?
Ironically, even liberal CNN published a story in April titled, “The middle class is growing again — but slowly,” and noted that 38 states now have a larger share of middle classes households than in 2013.
Ocasio-Cortez and her socialist Democrat pals don’t want you to hear it, but the economy is booming under President Donald Trump.
There is plenty of data and facts to prove it. And it’s making America great again.
