Joe Biden is heading into a whirlwind of legal trouble.
This is according to Rudy Giuliani, who appeared on Fox News airwaves to warn that a bombshell is in the works for the former vice president. And it has nothing to do with Ukraine. And nothing to do with China.
The latest scandal is coming out of Romania, where Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, worked closely with a corrupt Eastern European businessman. Insiders are speculating that Hunter may have done something that’ll sink his father’s campaign — and cause other legal troubles.
“I want you to keep you eye not just on China,” Giuliani told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “I want you to keep your eye on Romania. Just watch Romania.”
According to Fox News reports, Hunter Biden worked with Gabriel Popoviciu, a crooked businessman who was recently sentenced to seven years in prison on corruption charges.
And multiple media outlets are coming forward with stories that Hunter Biden might be more deeply connected to the crooked Romanian businessman than previously thought.
“You won’t read it in The New York Times or The Washington Post,” Giuliani said. “But just watch Romania.”
In actuality, the NYT mentioned Hunter Biden’s contact in Romania back in May — but no one in the mainstream media asked any further questions.
Back in May the paper wrote: “In addition to his work in Ukraine for the energy company Burisma, Hunter Biden advised a Romanian businessman with ties to the United States, Gabriel Popoviciu, whose real estate dealings had come under investigation, according to people familiar with the arrangement, which has not been previously reported.”
“The investigation, which came as the United States and its allies were pushing Romania to clamp down on corruption, led to Mr. Popoviciu’s conviction and a prison sentence,” the paper wrote.
And since the Ukraine whistleblower fiasco, a local Romanian news outlet has reported that Hunter Biden “was involved in real estate business in Bucharest and allegedly tried to lobby in favor of local real estate tycoon Gabriel Popoviciu before he was sentenced to jail in a high-profile corruption case in 2017,” according to the The Daily Mail.
