House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has been on a furious rampage over President Donald Trump’s latest Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.
When she stepped over the line, though, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz had a stunning comeback that totally silenced the California liberal leader.
Pelosi told Democratic voters through a strange Democratic Congressional Campaign fundraising letter that she would “avenge” former President Barack Obama.
In the letter, she also said Republicans would regret confirming Kavanaugh. Pelosi claimed email ad-buys on behalf of Trump’s nominee will “eviscerate our chance to make Republicans pay for the Supreme Court seat they STOLE from President Obama.”
“But I’m determined to avenge President Obama if it’s the last thing I do,” Pelosi said.
That phrase opened the door for Cruz to chime in — and he landed a knockout blow.
“Nancy Pelosi says she’ll fight to (no doubt unsuccessfully) oppose Judge Kavanaugh ‘if it’s the last thing’ she does in Congress. OK. Your terms are accepted,” Cruz tweeted in reply.
