Ted Cruz breaks down Joe Biden’s “Watergate” scandal

Sen. Ted Cruz broke down Operation Arctic Frost as “Joe Biden’s Watergate” on Wednesday – and video of the epic takedown has quickly gone viral.

After Sen. Chuck Grassley released 197 subpoenas revealing the Biden Justice Department spied on hundreds of Republicans, including nearly 20 percent of Senate Republicans, Cruz took the stand.

“Arctic Frost is Joe Biden’s Watergate,” Cruz said at the press conference. “Biden’s DOJ issued 197 subpoenas for 430 Republican entities and individuals. This was a political enemies list from the beginning and an outrageous abuse of power.”

Cruz revealed that Smith sent a subpoena to Verizon to tap his Senate office phone and that Smith’s team subpoenaed his personal cellphone records from AT&T.

“Merrick Garland was a fundamentally corrupt attorney general. Jack Smith was a fundamentally corrupt prosecutor. This was a political enemies list from the beginning,” Cruz told reporters, brandishing the court order that demanded AT&T hand over his cell records to the feds.

The order was signed by U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg and barred the cellular carrier from letting Cruz know about the request “for at least one year.”

Cruz said AT&T refused to turn over his personal records, determining the request violated the Constitution’s Speech and Debate Clause.

“Biden’s DOJ never disclosed that they tapped my Senate office phone because Judge Boasberg signed an order that said I’d destroy evidence. That is utterly without basis in fact,” Cruz said.

Cruz called on the House of Representatives to impeach Judge Boasberg over the abuse of power.

“Judge Boasberg ordered AT&T, ‘Do not tell Cruz we are subpoenaing his cellphone records,'” Cruz said. “He claimed that if I were informed, I would destroy or tamper with evidence and intimidate witnesses. That is utterly without factual basis. It is a complete abuse of judicial power.”

“When Judge Boasberg decided to become a partisan warrior, he became part of the most egregious abuse of power,” Cruz said. “This is Joe Biden’s Watergate, and I believe the House should impeach Judge Boasberg.”

Take a look –

“Arctic Frost was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus,” Grassley said at the press conference. “Contrary to what Smith has said publicly, this was clearly a fishing expedition.”

Grassley said he obtained the documents through legally protected whistleblower disclosures. The subpoenas requested records and communications related to over 430 individuals and organizations, all of them appearing to be aimed at Republicans.

The subpoenas targeted major conservative organizations including Turning Point USA, founded by the late Charlie Kirk, and the Republican Attorneys General Association. New whistleblower documents show the Biden FBI subpoenaed bank records, donor lists, and emails of nearly every major conservative organization and leader in the country, including Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and the Republican National Committee.

Attorney General Merrick Garland, Deputy AG Lisa Monaco, and FBI Director Christopher Wray all authorized the investigation, according to files released by Grassley.

“One could argue that what happened during the Biden years makes Watergate pale in comparison. 20% of the Republicans in the Senate were the targets of the Biden DOJ’s Arctic Frost fishing expedition,” Cruz said. “This was an executive who believed it was justified to spy on its opponents because it convinced itself that the ends justify the means.”

“We’re going to get to the bottom of every partisan who signed off on surveilling and spying on 20% of the Republicans in the Senate,” Cruz said. “That’s what Joe Biden and his DOJ did.”

Arctic Frost was the precursor to Smith’s sweeping investigations targeting President Donald Trump.
