Are things falling apart for Stormy Daniels’ attention-grabbing attorney Michael Avenatti?
Avenatti has spent the past few months basking in the mainstream media’s spotlight, making headlines on a weekly basis. He is being heavily recruited by Hollywood talent agents for his ability to grab the media’s attention with unverified claims.
But things behind the scenes aren’t going so smoothly, it seems.
Daniels’ lawyer could be facing very serious legal trouble after a millions of dollars in unpaid taxes from one of his “dubious business dealings” was uncovered, The Seattle Times reported.
That’s not all. Avenatti is also embroiled in numerous lawsuits over trademark infringement, is facing pressure from Washington State over $60,000 in back taxes owed, and has a complaint on record regarding his professional conduct in the State of California.
Personally, things also seem shaky for the mainstream media’s favorite lawyer. Avenatti is in the process of a messy public divorce after his wife allegedly kicked him out and changed the locks on their home in Orange County, California in late December.
It’s been estimated the Avenatti is worth approximately $20 million. Despite bringing in millions of dollars at numerous high-powered law-firms, though, Avenatti’s expensive tastes and business troubles may be catching up to him.
That’s according to the news website Heavy, which speculated that Avenatti may be completely broke.
The website claims it uncovered a $5 million IRS tax lien on Avenatti and one of this businesses from July 2017 —
That’s a pretty big bill.
