Former President Donald Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial isn’t just about Trump’s future.
Porn actress Stormy Daniels, a key witness for the prosecution, says the outcome will likely determine whether or not she’ll flee the United States.
Daniels says the jury must convict the leading Republican presidential candidate… or else her and her husband are on the next plane out of the country.
Barrett Blade, her husband, confirmed on Tuesday that there’s a “good chance” the two will leave the United States if Trump is acquitted in his Manhattan trial.
Speaking to CNN’s Erin Burnett on “OutFront,” Blade also said that regardless of the trial’s outcome, the situation likely won’t improve for his wife… and they may flee regardless.
“Either way, I don’t think it gets better for her. I think if it’s not guilty, we got to decide what to do. Good chance we’ll probably vacate this country,” he said. Blade added that even if Trump is found guilty, he believes Daniels will continue to face criticism from Trump supporters.
Daniels claims she had a one-night stand with Trump in 2006 and was paid $130,000 in 2016 to keep silent about the affair. Prosecutors in Democrat-controlled Manhattan allege that Trump broke the law by falsifying business records to reimburse his former lawyer Michael Cohen and conceal the “hush money” payment.
Trump has pleaded not guilty and denied the affair. He has dismissed the charges as politically motivated election interference.
During her testimony last week, Daniels described meeting Trump at a celebrity golf tournament and provided salacious details of their alleged sexual encounter.
Following her testimony, Daniels was accused of committing perjury by her former lawyer.

Trump’s lawyers also attacked Daniels’ credibility during cross-examination, with attorney Susan Necheles accusing her of fabricating the alleged sexual encounter to make money. Daniels pushed back, insisting that she was telling the truth and stating, “If that story was untrue, I would have written it to be a lot better.”
Blade emphasized that Daniels just wants “to get on with her life” and that the constant need to repeat her story “wears on her, but she’s a warrior.” Blade noted that the criticisms his wife receives doesn’t really matter to him because Daniels “is used to all of this.”
“This is all her fighting for what she believes is right and telling the truth, and I don’t think a lot of people realize that,” Blade said, highlighting his wife’s determination to stand by her account despite the challenges she faces.
