Under the leadership of President Barack Obama, racial tensions in the United States have reached a boiling point — and it’s largely the fault of the mainstream media’s bias.
If the liberal media were to be believed, white nationalism has reached a fever pitch — and the election of Donald Trump caused a wave of nasty, racially motivated hate crimes against minorities across the country.
“Emboldened white racists are running rampant!” was the story repeated time and again on headlines across the country following the election.
Just one problem — turns out many of these widely reported hate crimes were hoaxes pulled off by their so-called victims.
Let us state this clearly here: the seriousness of hate crimes is not to be dismissed. The Horn News editorial team in no way condones any act of racism and recognizes that not all post-election racial attacks were faked. There were credible incidents on both sides of the political aisle of racist behavior, ALL of which The Horn News strongly condemns.
But how can the mainstream media continue to claim they have credibility when major news outlets such as Buzzfeed (“Drunk Men Yelling ‘Donald Trump’ Attempt To Remove Woman’s Hijab On NYC Subway”), Slate (“NY Subway Riders Stand By as Three Men Verbally Assault Muslim Teenager”), CBS News (“Muslim teen verbally attacked on NYC subway”) all independently failed to verify the stories they’re running out to a national audience?
Turns out, that woman in the aforementioned story made the whole thing up, police say. 18-year-old Yasmin Seweid was arrested Wednesday on charges of filing a false report and obstructing governmental administration.
Seweid first told police the incident happened on Dec. 1 as the train pulled into Grand Central Station, and claimed the men told her “you don’t belong here” and referred to her hijab as a “rag.” She also reported that one of the men grabbed her bag, breaking the strap, and another tried to take off her hijab.
None of that was true. According to multiple reports, Seweid has broken her parents curfew and made up the story to avoid getting in trouble.
This isn’t the first time a major news story about a fake hate crime blamed on Trump supporters has led to an arrest.
Not by a long shot. Since the election, a Philadelphia man was arrested for a phony pro-Trump racist graffiti spree, while another Philadelphia woman quietly retracted her story about being assaulted once questioned by police.
A very similar incident happened in Louisiana as well, while in Chicago a different student’s claims of harassment by Trump supporters also turned out to be a hoax.
In fact, it happened all over the country. In Texas, a man was attacked by Trump supporters… but not really.
Was this man in Malden, MA assaulted by racist Trump supporters? Nope, sorry.
Pro-Trump Islamophobia drove this family out of America?
The Canadian filmmaker brutally beaten in Los Angeles by homophobic Trump supporters?
How about the Nazi flag seen flying over San Francisco in celebration of Trump’s victory?
The issue with these stories isn’t that they’re being reported. Violence happens, and Americans deserve to know.
But the willful ignorance of the mainstream media — and their unwillingness to vet their sources — is causing ACTUAL racial violence.

It is a sad time in this country when the public cannot believe what Reporters and Journalists choose to put out as news. Who cares who released the emails? Of more importance is what the emails stated. The DNC was shown to be corrupt. Clinton was shown to be dishonest. Clinton left secret and top secret information open to the world (this was not revealed by hacked emails but by US sources). No, Hillary lost because of who she is, not who revealed her corruption.
