Is Fox News’ most controversial news star, Megyn Kelly, on her way out of the network?
Reports say CNN President Jeff Zucker is aggressively recruiting Kelly to join his network. He’s offering her the coveted 8 or 9 p.m. primetime slot on his network, according to The Drudge Report… and Kelly is seriously considering the move.
Kelly’s contract is up in July 2017, and she is apparently being offered a staggering $20 million annual contract to remain at Fox News.
“He is moving the Himalayan mountains to get her,” an anonymous source inside the network told Drudge. “But they are tripped up on money. He simply can’t pay her the $20 million a year FOX has on the table.”
Part of Zucker’s offer to Kelly would be a cross-promotion to other Warner Bros. outlets, the corporation that owns CNN.
The move would represent a huge shake-up in primetime cable news. Currently, the show “Anderson Cooper 360” holds the coveted 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. slot, meaning a Kelly move would bump CNN’s top anchor.
“Leaving Fox News might be tough. The Murdoch family, which controls the network’s parent, 21st Century Fox, sees Kelly’s presence on air as a nod to a rising generation of audience that is interested in a greater diversity of viewpoints. Her willingness to grill Republican guests and push back on conventional wisdom has been good for Fox, which has one of TV’s older set of viewers,” Newsmax reported on the rumor.
But insiders say all is not well at Fox News, and a move by Kelly would be a “fresh break” for the controversial star, who is “despised” by Fox News’ other top anchors, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.
According to Drudge, “A top source close to the action describes how Megyn would be an immediate international star at CNN. ‘It’s the opportunity of lifetime. She could even star in a movie at Warner Bros.'”

I must be getting old. I remember when reporters reported the news to the public. They didn’t impose their opinions. They were journalists. NOT seeking to become a news story. Not a model reading a teleprompter.
She isn’t a reporter but a commentator. I don’t care for the way she talks over people when they try to answer her questions. I do like her balance.

CNN ditched Juan Williams because he made some controversial statements that did not match the CNN views. They will do the same with Kelly because Kelly is her own person and she is a tough woman.
The fact that O’Reilly and Hannity are upset with her is because she doesn’t conform to their views and is doing what Fox is supposed to be about which is fair and balanced. Megyn will find that she won’t be able to speak her own views because CNN is scripted and told what to say by the person who owns or has majority interest in CNN. Megyn should think twice before falling into this trap where she will become nothing more than a mouthpiece for the far left.
I agree. Take Juan with her. He should be welcome back at CNN and even NPR. On The Five Juan always attempts to talk over everybody else and seldom can agree with anybody there. In short, Juan is annoying. I didn’t like Becker either. Why does the Five NEED a Lib on there anyway? What they need to do is discuss the news and issues among themselves and let the viewers decide. Juan doesn’t add anything to the discussion.

Fox News was the only one to save Juan Williams butt after PBS fired him for not being liberal enough. at the time Fox News gave him a three million dollar contract, but the liberals still claim that Fox News is not fair and hates all liberals. Yes, I agree. Megyn was my favorite until the Primary started. She had an edge to her voice in the last few months I haven’t cared for when she talked to her GOP guests and I found off putting. Try it, you’ll like it. Where I live, it is channel 116. It is broadcasted from Calif., so I believe it should be nationwide. I live on the East Coast.

I agree. She is too biased. Fox is the closest news network to reporting truth out there. I am all for balance, but as far as I can see, Fox is the only conservative news station out there. So even with that, there isn’t really a balance taking all the news networks together, since the other networks are slanted toward liberalism. I am old school, and believe that news reporters should stick to facts, and encourage their guests to do so, as well. In other words, don’t tell your listeners how to think, which seems to be the net result of how Megyan comes across. Although I have to say that the other networks try to infiltrate our minds at a much higher level than even Megyan. I detest how she seems to taunt and try to trip up her consrevative guests, and shuts them down if they don’t say what she wants to hear. If the liberal listeners enjoy listening to a thought police, then send Megyan to CNN. She doesn’t belong on a conservative network.

I stopped watching Kelly months ago. Let her go to CNN. I never watch CNN so her presence wouldn’t matter to me.

When I moved back I needed to give GOD back the Blessings he had given me. have almost died five times Chemical Lung poisoning and 4 heart attack by 52. So you just think of how great my wife of 35 yrs and my two wonderful son’s that had to see their dad almost die 5 times , that is nothing your kids should ever have to see. So when I returned from HI I started to give back some of my blessing , since I have a BS in Chemical Engineering and a BS in Economics, with three minors accounting, Business, and statistics. was allowed to teach Algebra I and II in high school 4 yrs of teaching spoiled brats to if I was going to talk it I needed to walk it so after making ny nind up to really give back some off my blessings I decided to work for a charter High school in East St Louis the city that Yahoo ranked as the worst city in America same thing taught Algebra and for my first two months was the old fat cracker that teaches math. Once we learned how to respect each other they gave me a chance by even escort me to an east side football game one of the best high school’s I have seen play football. until my son’s sophomore yr he had just made varsity and after having his dad as an assistant coach from when he was 8 till he was 13. I was known by the Head AD use to be my eldest son’s coach and his principle also had moved to the school in same district he went to central and me and my eldest had gone to West my junior yr led team in tackles third straight yr we won the last state champion ship West had last had 1976, my Son’s sophomore yr when he made varsity and was getting to play on both side off the ball kid at 13 was 5′ 11″ 290 #’s with a 48 ” chest started at LT and played some DT and had won a junior super bowl in his last yr playing for this select league twenty five kids that I got to watch grow up for 5 yrs . After 4 yrs I had my 4th heart attack I don’t drink or smoke since 2004. So I am also diabetic ADHD, Bi Polar, aggressive by nature an adrenaline junkie and a voice that could wake the dead, so when I walked into Central’s stadium I am grabbed by my arm thinking I haven’t done anything wrong yet. So They stop and I turn around and it is the head AD who had 5 daughter’s and my sister had ran a la petite day care and she had taught all five off his daughters, he says when you came to your older son’s games eight yr’s difference their was a lot of complaints about how loud you were he said I loved it and so did the kids. So they say we have a seat for you and they start walking me towards the fence then turned towards the field into the end zone and 5 yrds behind it they say set you chair right here and tells me three rules no one else can sit own the field, no yelling at the ref’s, and I had to bring my A game every night. I was in heaven and after two games the kids started spiking the ball to me and all of the sudden all the kid’s on the team started to help my son he started school at 3 1/2 because he could read and had been in day care since 6 weeks old. It caught up to him in high school were he learned a lot off things way above his pay grade but at fourteen he was standing on the Ram’s Side lines At the Jones Dome I told him to never forget the blessing God ha given him his senior yr starting both ways and tore his ACL badly never to play any sports ever again. So he graduated High school at 16 1/2 yrs old played the baritone in both concert and Jazz Band for 6 yrs. And still got a 3.15 gpa with all of the other thing he was involved in so we started him at a community college so his maturity level was good enough to take the Academic scholarships both of my boys earned my eldest has a BS in Mathematics. So I have walked the walk have you this school was as dangerous as you could get 70% of the kids had access to a gun! So Megan what is it that you have done to be able to say the things CNN says every day! Some Day the Democrats will learn that every one is sick of the crap that every one spews because they have nothing else and every body is sick of it! So why don’t you grow up!

IF Megyn Kelly goes to CNN she would have to change side in her reporting practices. CNN is very liberal in their political reporting. Kelly has been fairly unbiased in her handling or the tasks assigned to her. I strongly suspected that her questions to Donald Trump at the first presidential debate of the primary season last year was not all of her doing but that she may have been instructed by Roger Ailes to take that attack approach.
Megyn Kelly is one of the better reporters/interviewers at Fox. Her show has a different slant to that of Sean Hannity or Bill O’reilly. Their shows do not present the same information as a repeat of each other’s work. Fox will be hurting with Kelly out of the team.

I agree with most of the other comments. FOX is the only conservative TV media available, but has far more liberal guests than I would like to listen to.. If I wanted to hear the liberal viewpoint I would listen to all the other stations. There are others at FOX that should move with Kelly, i.e., Shepard Smith, Alan Colmes, Juan Williams, When Geraldo is a guest I just turn off the TV..He’s so important, didn’t you know..Just ask him. I was greatly disappointed in Kelly for not being the reporter I thought she was. Then realizing her husband worked for the New York Times it became apparent she wasn’t a fair reporter. I quit watching CNN so if she wants to move there go. I won’t be watching her, maybe the Fox will get Greta, love her.
I used to like watching her years ago, but now, you couldn’t pay me to watch her. She is a detriment to the conservatives of our country. Fox News and Fox Business News is deteriorating rapidly. Many of their show hosts continue to interrupt their guests and/or talk at the same time. It is very frustrating to those of us that watch those channels. I am retired and used to watch Fox Business News most of the day. Now, I find myself changing channels when hosts start to interrupt their guests.

We watched Megyn from the very beginning at Fox; however in the last few months it seems she has become opinionated and not just reporting the news. She seems to have an agenda other than her job on the show. Megyn appears arrogant at times as if she is a star and knows better than anybody else. She has guests on the show and when conversations become heated and they are talking over each other, she lets them continue. Very frustrating and unable to understand anyone. It’s as if she has let her position go to her head and is not doing her job. We have quit watching her show. Megyn is a talented and smart lady who seems to have let ambition take over. I cannot say whether she stays or goes to CNN. I hate to see her go there because of the reputation of CNN. We do not watch CNN at all.

I was a loyal watcher of Megan’s show, but ceased watching after the 1st GOP Presidential debate which she co-hosted and made a total a _ _ out of herself by constantly baiting Donald. Her agenda was totally transparent and as a result I decided the best way to register my dissatisfaction was to turn off the FOX channel during her program.
I had only since May 2016, have been able to watch Fox News. Prior, I would only get to watch if I was at some ones home that had Fox News. At first I liked her, she seemed to be straight and not biased. It did not take me but maybe three months to quit watching her all together, ( unless she has some one taking her place that program). After she treated Mr. Trump the way she did, I quit watching her. At that time I was just deciding for sure if I was going to vote for Mr. Trump. I think she needs to go to CNN, maybe not many people watch. So disappointed in M.K.

There is only two shows on Fox that I look forward to watching. Varney & Co. in the morning and The Five in the afternoon. CNN is not on my list of must watch shows. So if she goes over to CNN all I can say is: “Good Luck”

You always know how the discussion will turn out. We started feeling uncomfortable when she had that long session with Bill Ayers. It seemed like she was trying to convince viewers he wasn’t a terrorist!! Not for us…….

Frankly; I could care less about Meghan Kelly and I do not think she would be that great a loss. I credit her with great intelligence, knowledge of events and evidently good preparation. The camera also loves her which makes network moguls salivate at future ratings potential. However, over this past year, her self-promotion has often-times been glaring and some of her interviews come across as being belligerent, in order to prove her “toughness.” She has often overtly, unfairly, and rudely interrupted conservative guests to prove how “fair and balanced” she is; while not contesting obvious and glaring “untruths, mis-statements, and mis-representations (which used to be called LIES ) by certain leftist public personalities, to gain their favor. She has been obvious about playing both sides (left and right) for future benefit. She has obviously been successful at navigating the rocky shoals of the modern media circuse for her personal benefit by demanding to be the highest paid anchor, no matter where she goes to work. Not bad for a person who was virtually unheard of a few years ago. While she has no doubt worked hard and diligently, I question whether she has paid dues enough in such a short broadcasting career to be the highest paid anchor at $20 million annually. Her ambition is showing and it is not that attractive. Bring back Brit Hume: honest reporting with uncommon humor; now there’s a journalist.

Megan Kelly was reasonably good when teamed on Fox AM Session with co-host, but not on her own show. She is too in love with herself to allow guests to give their views. Trish Reagan would be much, much better than Kelly with the show. Or for that matter, 90% of FOX talent would do a better job.

There really isn’t much to say about her move to CNN, because she knows she has it made at Fox News, and she will stay there, unless Murdock fires her. She has turned herself into a complete bimbo, with her looks. She is really waiting for Hollywood to discover her, like they discovered the beautiful young movie stars years ago. I wouldn’t waste my money on her book. When she came up with the tall tale that Ailes came on to her 10 years ago, was hilarious. The man has made her career for her. Maybe the reason she didn’t say anything about it years ago, she enjoyed whatever came about, and knew if she did say something, her career would be gone. As far as Fox News being Fair and Balanced, I think they have really turned all of the shows around, with the exception of The Five. There you do have Eric and Kimberly that are real Republican’s. Juan Williams should be fired, Greg is sometimes to much for me, and Dana has really gone all out to say disparaging things about Trump. Maybe her British husband has influence her. Other than that Murdock told Ailes to go after Trump hard and heavy, because he was a Rubio fan, so Ailes had to do what he was told to do, Things had already been decided with the first debate with Kelly, Baier and Wallace, they were told to attack Trump period, and all three did, except Kelly went way overboard, and she is still attacking him, and Murdock is all for it. Don’t forget he attended several Hillary dinner’s where he dropped thousands of dollars with her campaign. I really think Fox News has gone over to the liberal side, so why bother watching CNN. It has always been a devout liberal Democratic station, even when it was Time Warner and Ted Turner owned it. He had to be the worst.

I don’t believe Megyn is a liberal, liberals are not pro-life, I think she asks fair and tough questions. However, I do believe Megyn and Bill should learn to shut-up when they ask a question. When someone gives their biased spin without answering the question I want Megyn and Bill to interupt to try to get to the truth, don’t forget Sean does it as well- but Sean is more professional about it. The Trump and Newt interviews were no more than a “clash of egos” but Megyn did step out of her journalist arena. When I watch Megyn and Bill, there are times when they both piss me off, but that’s fine, I don’t expect people to consistently fall in line with my opinions. If Megyn goes to CNN her career is in trouble, CNN will control what she says and I wouldn’t expect her to play that kind of ball. Megyn does seem to be her biggest fan, like Bill, and she should tone-down her attire. But let’s be honest, what woman that looks like her would be strong enough not to “wrap the present” like Megyn does. Don’t forget there are a couple of women on Fox guilty of “over-dressing the turkey”. For the most part, I have enjoyed the majority of her shows but I agree she could use a few CCs of humility.

Can we please stop calling Cable and Network sources news? They are nothing more than talk show host who dole out propaganda and opinions that are more often than not completely wrong. She spoke, on the Dr Oz show, selling her book. She mentioned Ailes playing cat and mouse with her and her great fear of how it would end. She is a lawyer and well able to gather evidence against him. Her nightly news and the story about roger Ailes have a similar thread running through them-she does not seem truthful.

As for the idea of the Clinton News Network using cross-promoting with Warner Brothers for a possible film career: Why hasn’t this been explored with Fox? They have the potential to do the same type of deal.

I would love to see Ms. Kelly totally out of our news media. CNN would be right for her since she has sunk down to their level. As far as I am concerned, she is in the “W a W” category…(What a Witch. I firmly believe we now need some strong “truth in reporting” laws. The news media, especially CNN has too much influence on society and has imposed it’s biases on so many who know very little if anything about our Constitution, our History and on how and why we have the laws we have. Nor do they seem to care to learn. Foreign policy many is no more than what the local international grocery store is selling. And yet they are so quick to believe it’s time to hit the streets with some protest playing right into the hands of the media’s need for some sensational story. Sorry, but many in our society have become sheep who would believe anything on TV or Social Media. Getting rid of Ms. Kelly would be a good start.

Megyn Kelly is a “Fallen Angel”. When she first started at Fox, she appeared to be unbiased, fair and presented herself appropriately. Ever since she became a Clinton-ettic, she has lost her wings and fallen off her pedestal and I fear that she will NEVER get back on it. I, personally as well as the rest of my family, refuse to watch her on TV,, no matter what TV show she appears. What happened to that beautiful woman who seemed to be looking out for the American People? Maybe she couldn’t help it. Everyone knows what happens to people who cross the Clintons!. You cross them and somehow, someway, you never see or hear from them again… I’m sorry Megyn, I so much looked up to you and now you are just another disappointing, biased and unfair Liberal.
She is not a news reporter of the old style per se. She always has to insert her opinions into the reporting and acts like sister ‘better than you’. Besides that , nobody cares what she says. I turn her off routinely just because she is annoying. She should move on because she needs to be with a network that sensationalizes every story and that only reports news on people that they do not share the same opinion with.
