Senator charged with felony sexual assault to go to trial

A Vermont state senator is scheduled to go on trial this week on sex charges.

Sen. Norm McAllister was arrested in May 2015 outside the Statehouse and arraigned on three counts of felony sexual assault and three counts of misdemeanor prohibited acts. In January, senators voted to suspend him.

The Franklin County Republican has maintained his innocence, and filed nominating petitions last month to seek re-election to the Senate.

Several lawmakers are potential witnesses, including two who had shared a rented house with McAllister in Montpelier during the 2015 session.

One of McAllister’s alleged victims worked with him as an assistant at the Statehouse during that session.

The Associated Press contributed to this article.

Unfortunately he is a Republican. I personally believe this is another faked scandal where this fellow is being railroaded. If he was a dem this wouldn’t be an issue.

If he’s guilty fry him like all the rest should have been. If he’s innocent fry the accusers for making politically motivated accusations in an attempt to destroy him.

Imagine if the front page of a national news paper, printed all the Sexual Scandals that plague SO MANY OF our elected officials..
There should be a LAW ( NOT LIKE ANYONE WOULD BE HELD TO THAT STANDARD IN THIS DAY AND AGE) That specifically
states: If you are convicted of ANY DEVIAENT BEHAVOUR, during your tenure as senator, congressman state rep or state senator, If convicted, YOU are automatically tossed out of office, with no back pay, no pension, no benefits…. NOTHING.
We vote these people in thinking they are GOOD AND TRUE Human Beings, THEN to be betrayed by them, and have to use taxpayer money to bring them to court to find out the TRUTH. I DONT THINK SO… I don’t think that way.
Sick and tired of listening to the news … scandal after scandal…. Slick Willy Clinton, Studds,, Barney Frank, Edward Kennedy, Gary Hart, Gary Condit, David Vitter, Larry Craig, (John Edwards, a GD LOSER), lets not forget, Anthony Weiner, husband of Hillary Clintons right hand aid….. Huma…… don’t for get Elizabeth Warren, who just said yesterday, she is so proud to be from Massachusetts,….she is an outright liar from the state of Oklahoma, who claimed to be Native American. Maybe that’s how she got her job at Harvard University… by claiming she had Native American Blood running through her Oklahoma veins. to name a few.. Can you imagine her as Hillary’s VP… OH NO…
Sorry I got off track but these politicians are ruining the lives of the Real Americans of the United States Of America.
Politicians… MOST… probably NEVER had a real job in their whole miserable life.
They tell us what we want to hear, and never get it done
I’m sure if I checked out all the info available on line I would be buried with names to include in this standing head fiasco.
    Do any of you agree?
