Here’s how many people tuned into the record-setting GOP debate

It didn’t beat out the Fox News Channel debate, but it still set records. An estimated 22.9 million people tuned in for Wednesday’s second presidential primary debate on CNN.

The Nielsen company said the viewership fell short of Fox’s 24 million for the first debate in August, but it still represented the largest audience in CNN’s 35-year history. The previous high was the 16.8 million people who watched a “Larry King Live” episode in 1993 with Vice President Al Gore and Ross Perot.

The first two GOP debates have set new standards for interest in these contests. GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, suggesting he is the main factor in the ratings, said CNN donate advertising revenue to veterans group — a proposal the network never responded to.

With interest high, the CNN debate stretched to three hours.

The GOP needs to get rid of Bush first, he is just a pile of special interest and lobby money as well as being aided by his family. He is not wanted the polls clearly reflect. I know the party has been bombarded with emails on every level of trying to gather contributions with, “we aren’t going to contribute to the establishment status-quo.” All Bush is doing is working to undermine the people’s candidate, Donald Trump, in hopes he will be left standing when all others are out of money should he succeed in tarnishing Trump to the point of failure. Mark my words. “Bush is Clinton, Clinton is Bush, they are all one worlders pushing for the destruction of our nation as we know it. His vaunted brother,(gag me), was sent on a mission like a school boy by the one world group to take Iraq. Why he was is a matter of who you believe. Trump, Christie, Fiorina and Cruz are the only people with any business remaining. These four are not one world influenced. Fiorina only to see if she can improve in a few weeks. Rubio is a Bush lackey who will follow the one world demands like a puppy. Jindahl, Graham, Huckabee and the rest need to go take a nap and get out of the way.
