Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ latest stunt has triggered liberals.
Amid his re-election campaign, his team has dropped some merchandise for fundraising — and one of the items targeting Dr. Anthony Fauci left liberals furious.
Various items for sale featured the phrase, “Don’t Fauci my Florida.”
It’s a direct shot at one of the most prominent figures during the global pandemic and one-time ally of former President Donald Trump before falling out as the coronavirus task force leader.
“Trust us,” the Team DeSantis social media page wrote. “You don’t want to miss out on this.”

Additional campaign merchandise features a notable quote from DeSantis, who mockingly asked ahead of Super Bowl weekend in February, “How the hell am I going to be able to drink a beer with my mask on?”
Liberals couldn’t stand it.
MSNBC’s Joy Reid called DeSantis an “ignorant ghoul.”
Even former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean came out of silence to express his anger.
“DeSantis is a well educated crackpot with no allegiance to our country, his constituency or the truth,” he wrote in a tweet.

The merchandise is only the latest shot at Fauci, who has been a regular target of DeSantis since the pandemic kicked off. Fauci most notably criticized DeSantis and the state of Florida for opening the economy early amid swelling pandemic numbers.
The bad blood worsened when Fauci’s emails were released — which critics said raised questions about what he knew about the coronavirus in the early stages of the pandemic and the public statements he made to the media.
“I think now with Fauci’s emails… it’s pretty clear that a lot of this stuff was fly by the seat of your pants guidance,” DeSantis said in June.
“This was not based on hard data.”
