If you ever wanted to know how weak and whiny today’s college radicals are — and how biased the media are — just remember one name: Isra Hirsi.
Hirsi is a 21-year-old student at Columbia University’s Barnard College. Or at least, she was a student, until Columbia suspended Hirsi after she got arrested for holding illegal rallies and refusing to comply with college administrators’ demands that she cease-and-desist.
Hirsi hissed hateful slogans at Israel from her cozy campus—and now that she’s faced justice, she claims she’s got no access to food and is “houseless.”
There’s one problem: Isra Hirsi is the daughter of a U.S. congresswoman.
Hirsi’s mom is “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.—and it looks like Omar tried to use the power of her office in her daughter’s favor.
Hirsi follows her mother’s extreme leftism. A review of Hirsi’s social media biography found that she had a Communist hammer-and-sickle insignia next to an indication that she uses “she/her” pronouns.
“She has a Soviet hammer & sickle emoji in her bio + pronouns,” said Noah Pollack of the Washington Free Beacon. “Perfection.”

Hirsi led some of the radical riots on campus as part of Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine, which demands the university divest itself from Israel.
Protesters at Columbia have been documented chanting incitements to violence, including “”raise the banner of the revolution” and “Al-Qassam, You Make Us Proud, Kill Another Soldier Now!”

Hirsi played the victim, claiming unnamed forces “sprayed us with chemical weapons,” Hirsi told MSNBC’s Ayman Mohyeldin.
Chemical weapons? Like the kind Hamas terrorists reportedly planned to use against Israeli civilians on October 7?
Conservatives couldn’t help but chortle at the congresswoman’s daughter.
“Ilhan Omar’s daughter claims they used chemical weapons on her. Sounds like a human rights complaint she should take to the UN,” said anti-Woke activist Ian Miles Cheong.

After the arrest, college contacted Hirsi and told her she had to end the encampment of protesters on campus property—to return to her dorm room overnight.
Hirsi defiantly refused, promising that “those of us in Gaza Solidarity Encampment will not be intimidated,” but would “stand resolute until our demands are met,” including divestment from all Israeli companies and “FULL amnesty for all students facing repression.”
Unfortunately for her, she found out the university wasn’t kidding.
“i just received notice that i am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide,” she posted in a grammatically challenged post on social media.
The dean of Barnard College, Leslie Grinage, explained that, “this decision is based on information received from Columbia University Public Safety that you have been involved in an unauthorized encampment on the Columbia University campus and you have not ceased participation in this unauthorized encampment despite repeated requests from Barnard and Columbia on April 17, 2024 that you do so.”
The date April 17 is significant: That’s the same day Hirsi’s mother, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, posted a social media message warning Columbia not to take any actions against protesters—without divulging that one of them was her daughter, who was defying a campus order.
“Columbia has always had an incredible history of students fighting for a more just world and it’s good to see that tradition continue. As NYPD surrounds young activists, I hope their concerns are heard by school administrators and they not be criminalized,” said Omar.
She closed her post, “In solidarity,” with an emoji of a raised fist.

It turns out, her gambit failed: Columbia suspended her daughter, kicked her off campus, and decided to hold all classes online through the end of the semester, so Jewish students won’t have to pass by these crowds.
“I was a little bit frantic, like, where am I going to sleep?” the congresswoman’s daughter asked. “And also, all of my s*** is thrown in a random lot.”
She claimed, “I have like four shirts, two pairs of pants” and that she did not “know when I can go home, and I don’t know if I ever will be able to.”
Sure, Isra.
Instead of taking responsibility for her own actions, Hirsi was angry that, after the suspended her for her illegal activity, it did not give her “food support”—literally, a free lunch. “I sent them an email like, ‘Hey, I rely on campus for my meals. I rely on my dining plan,’ and they were like, ‘Oh, you can come pick up a prepackaged bag of food,’ a full 48 hours after I was suspended,” she wrote.
Hirsi told Teen Vogue she had “no clue” what indignities she would have to suffer through next. “Our interim suspension is contingent on what happens at our hearings, which has )sic.) not been set,” she told the teen fashion-and-indoctrination website. “They told us that we would receive a date by Monday at noon, so I’m basically at least houseless until then.
Hirsi leaned into her Muslim upbringing, using an Arabic phrase meaning, “All praise to Allah” in a social media post. These are all detrimental and horrible things, but alhamdulillah we are all still here and alive,” Hirsi wrote, “and have roofs over our heads, despite it all. People have supported us.”
Despite posing as an innocent party, Hirsi told NBC News her lockout “was expected,” considering her rules-breaking activity. The only question was when it would happen.
“We knew what we were engaging in,” Hirsi admitted to NBC in a moment of honesty. “However I wasn’t really expecting to be immediately locked out of my dorm, of dining, of campus as quickly as I was.”
It was too much for Megyn Kelly. “Could you spare me?” she asked. “I’ve only got crocodile tears for this person.”

Unlike minor campus disturbances by George W. Bush’s daughters, the media have given little coverage to Ilhan Omar’s family scandals.
The Horn doesn’t share the legacy media’s bias. We’ll always tell you the truth—even if the nation’s most powerful politicians don’t want us to.
