Putin: I’m developing dangerous new weapons

President Vladimir Putin says Russia is working to develop new weapons to ensure a strategic balance.

Putin, speaking to military leaders and arms makers in Sochi, said Friday that Russia, like other nations, is working on state-of-the art arms technologies, including laser, hypersonic and robotic weapons.

He didn’t mention specific weapons programs, but military officials have said Russia is developing new warheads for its ballistic missiles, which would be capable to make sharp maneuvers on their way to target to dodge the enemy defenses. The military also has been working on air-based laser weapons.

The Kremlin has continued a sweeping military modernization drive even as Russia’s economy entered a recession.

The Associated Press contributed to this article.

Move along. There’s nothing to see here. Donnie likes Vlad. Vlad likes Donnie. Let Vlad have all of the weapons and toys. America doesn’t need them – may as well ditch them. Because Vlad likes Donnie so won’t attack Donnie. So you can sleep assured. And now a message from our sponsor: Next time you’re in Brooklyn, let me know. I’ve got a bridge to sell to you.

Well you see maybe Mr. Put in will use the uranium that Hillary Clinton made sure he got from our deposits. Make sure you do your homework next time.

Yes we know the little goose-stepping Billaries don’t like Communism, unless of course if its Red Chinese Communism that foots their gluttony, i mean bill – never mind small details like, communism is communism, never mind Red China is totalitarianism, just so long as its not Russia, all will be well, that is, so long as Russia isn’t spilling the beans about the DNC’s lying-cheating-tyrannies, treason, and corruption, all will be well, Russia = bad communist, Red China = good communist. Libtard logic ad nauseum.

LOL! We’ll see if there are any more surprises coming our way. I wouldn’t bet against it.

Ah well. I had posted a response on this which has been taken down by the Horn. A shame as it wasn’t defamatory. And yet, what is it we see at the bottom of the comments box? “Freedom of Speech is an American right and The Horn encourages healthy debate. However, please refrain from personal attacks, profanity and hate speech. Comments that don’t meet our standards may be removed.”. Yes – freedom of speech is an American right and the comments exceeded the Horn’s usual standards. Maybe the Horn only accepts posts it agrees with, and to blazes with American rights. Apparently American rights apply to some American patriots and not to others.

G10. Don’t know if you are referring to my comment or not. I didn’t meant to be snippy. However it is irritating to me that so many in the news media spew the line that Trump will be soft on the Russians. Yet it was Hillary who while calling Putin Hitler on the one hand steered a uranium deal on the other for the Russians. That it seems only makes sense if she has a split personality. I think Trump or at least I hope Trump deals with the Russians more intelligently.

What else is he going to say in response to Trumps statement that he will increase and strengthen our military. I doubt that he has the means to follow through. Reminds me of star-wars in the Reagan area.

SDI actually scared the daylights out of the Russians and as such was at least an effort to find a defense mechanism to protect our country from nuclear weapons. I believe he effort to do so is what liberals like to call being proactive. At any rate it might be wise to realize that the Russians could be our natural ally against terrorism. Having said that I do realize that they could very well be a potential danger to eastern Europe. Since the 1700’s Russian armies have trampled through Europe even to Paris during the Napoleonic wars. We don’t want to see that again. One threat at a time. Jihad loons first and then a leash on the Russians. But you can only do that with a strong well led military and a real president. We will have that on January 20.

I’m willing to believe Putin’s statement. And at the same time we’re decreasing our Military Readiness. We need to quit spending money in the Middle East and spend it more strategically.

frankly speaking … the russians spend less and get more… and the only reason we hear anything at all is to pump and dump military spending again…. we have a war to distroy older weapon systems… so we have room in the closet to put the new weapon system we are about to buy … the bad news is… we are about to enter the age of truly dangerious weapon systems… that are smart , small and cheap …. and what no one is ready for … multitasking , and ungradable . what drug companies have learned over years…. do not find cures…. find treatments . the weapon system engineers will very shortly do… is make the horrorable mistake… and put war in the hands of the amatures… and it will be the end of socialism , and communism as we know it today… and very likly war between nations states for ever .

Every military budget cut request is fought tooth an nail by a Representative or Senator who’s fighting for a ‘program’ that benefits his/her district.
