House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has seen her polls flushed down the toilet this year — but the latest is by far the worst news yet for the Democratic leader.
Pelosi has reached a nearly decade-low in popularity among Democrats, according to the latest Gallup poll numbers.
“The poll, conducted from June 1- 13, shows Pelosi, the House minority leader, has a favorability rating of just 29 percent among voters overall, marking a 5 point drop from the last time the poll was conducted in 2016,” CNBC reported Wednesday.
“Meanwhile, 53 percent say they do not support her.”
It’s important for readers to remember that Gallup is frequently criticized as a left-leaning poll — and they’re reporting that even loyal Democrats can no longer stomach the sight of Pelosi?
There’e’s no other way to slice the data: The news keeps getting worse for the liberal leader heading into the critical 2018 midterm election.
“Nancy Pelosi is campaigning hard for Democrats in an effort to win a majority in the House of Representatives during the midterm elections. The former speaker of the House is also lobbying to regain the speaker’s gavel if Democrats retake the House in November,” CNBC reported. “There are at least 20 House Democratic nominees who have said publicly that they will not back her for speaker if they do win the majority.”
