“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
The 2020 presidential election is just over a year away, and the Democratic Party’s “get out the vote” machine is trying to register as many left-leaning voters as possible.
But polls show they may have a problem.
When the Democrats drive members of their party to the polls next November 3, they may be turning out voters for President Donald Trump.
It sounds incredible, but a huge percentage of Democrats say Donald Trump is their president—and they hope he will be for four more years.
Almost one out of every five Democrats say they support President Trump’s “America-First” agenda more than their own party.
17 percent of Democrats “say they think more like Trump” than their own congressional leaders or presidential candidates, according to a poll released by Rasmussen on Monday.
What’s more, that number has risen by five percent since this time last year.
The more America sees the real Democrats, the less it likes them… which is exactly how the Democrats feel when they see the real America.
That’s terrible news for Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, or whoever ends up at the top of the Democratic ticket this summer—but it’s also bad news for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
That means that everything the Democrats have done since they won the majority of seats in the House — from the failed Mueller hearings, to cutting off funding for the Border Wall, to their phony “impeachment inquiry”— has made their own voters like them less.
Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and the Squad make Democrats more likely to support Donald Trump.
For comparison, only nine percent of registered Republicans say they side with Congressional Democrats more than Trump.
The more Democrats look at the polls, the more bad news they get.
Voters also say Trump cares about them, not the D.C./Beltway elites.
55 percent of voters said Trump spends more time thinking about “what voters think” than “what the media thinks,” according to another Rasmussen poll.
The Democrats’ problem is as obvious as Nancy Pelosi’s Botox: They’re too liberal, and their priorities are totally out of touch with the American people.
Take their top concern at the moment, impeachment.
Less than one out of every three Americans believe impeachment should be the issue Congress spends most of its time on, according to a brand new poll released Friday by The Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
But the same poll shows 68 percent of Democrats strongly approve.
Or look at the hot button issue of abortion.
71 percent of all Americans think it should be illegal to rip a baby out of a mother’s womb shortly before birth.
The issue has turned many registered Democrats pro-life. A poll this year found the number of Democrats who say they oppose abortion increased by 14 percent this year.
In a massive turn-around more than one-third of Democrats now say they’re “pro-life”… and that’s a problem for their presidential candidates.
The Democratic Party platform doesn’t have any exceptions to abortion, and most of the presidential hopefuls couldn’t name a single abortion they wouldn’t force taxpayers to finance if they get elected.
An amazing poll shows that 70 percent of pro-life Democrats support the one exception—Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-H.I…. but her chances of being nominated as about as good as mine.
AMAZING data point: More than 70% of @demsforlife surveyed would support Gabbard for the nomination if she continues to call for restrictions on abortion and adding “Safe, legal, and rare” to @TheDemocrats’ platform. Are you listening, @TulsiGabbard? https://t.co/Rq3x6sZFaH

Trump has gone a long way to win the support of black and Hispanic voters, too… voters the Democrats rely on to get elected, then ignore once they get into office.
“You built the nation,” Trump told 300 young black leaders earlier this month at a White House summit. “You were such a massive part of it. Bigger than you were given credit for.”
Then there’s the group that used to be the biggest muscle in the entire Democratic Party voting base: Union voters.
A weird thing has happened: Union leaders, and their dues, always support Democrats, but actual union voters back Trump.
In 2016, Trump had the largest support by union voters of any Republican since Ronald Reagan’s landslides.
Labor leaders know this: Polls show union voters’ support for the Democratic Party has actually been falling since 1992. In 2020, 28 years later, Trump’s pro-manufacturing administration could win union voters outright—even while their union bosses give tens of millions to the Democrats.
Democrats have become so elitist, socialist, and obsessed with political correctness and abortion that they’ve created a huge problem with their own voters.
Maybe that’s why they want to open the border: They realize they can’t get elected unless they run in a totally different country.
But Donald Trump can.
And if he does, he’ll owe it to a lot of Democratic voters who are sickened by their own party.
