The dramatic picture that is going viral comes with 27 scars, each a bullet absorbed from terrorist Kalashnikovs.

The picture is of the shield used by the lead commando of the French Brigade de Recherche et d’Intervention (BRI) unit as it bravely stormed the Bataclan nightclub during the Paris attacks.

Shared with the world on Twitter, it shows a bullet-riddled shield the 18-man squad lead their charge with, a symbol of the fight to turn back the attack of Islamic State terrorists.

    I am a Vietnam Vet and am now 72 years old. I am now once again at war right here in my own home. I don’t feel safe and believe our President is not keeping me safe. I believe that his attitude is that my enemy is his children! It is very clear to me that the people of USA are not his concern but rather Muslims are.

      I am right there with you at 64.
      Possibly the difference though is that being a vet, still passed off by 45 years of dealing with the VA and an attitude from my young years in the Army, when traveling in uniform and being spit and and called baby killer, I am much more defiant.
      I am severely disabled, but would have no problem with being in a gunfight with these Islamic extremists!
      It’s a win win for me. If I kill them for my fellow citizens, that’s a good thing. If they kill me, I won’t live in the severe pain I live in every day.
      President Obama has more regard for the refugees and the border crossers than he has for the American people’s safety and that is a problem!
      I feel it is time that article 25 be invoked by congress in which he is not fit to complete his term, and Crazy Joe step in for the last year.
      This presidents first responsibility over politics is to protect the citizens of the USA and he obviously does not want to have that responsibility. If you go to my fb time line from last night, it is also my understanding that he is illegally sneaking these Syrian refugees into the country!
      As veterans, we had no problem serving our country, and most of us if asked, no matter what physical limitations we have, would without hesitation, serve this country again if we were asked. As for me, I do not like the direction our country has gone since Reagan with the removal of God from our country and the lowering of morality from the highest office during the Clinton years, but I still love this country haven give my oath to protect the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic well over 40 years ago.
      I hold that oath dear, just as my father and his father did!
      Politics aside, my opinion about president Obama is that he has violated his oath quite often when the law does not help him, just work in utter disregard of the law!
      We had 6 Syrians show up on our Laredo border today! Lord only knows how many wanting to do us harm over the years have come across our southern border?
      This is what happens when you have an unelected Muslim commander in chief (Valerie Jarrett) who’s communist parents have been on the fibs watch list for years and apply to a community organizer puppet.

        Hear, hear. They have all the money they need to move, transport terrorists, which could be any single muslim anywhere, as their strategy requires. How do they get into Mexico in the first place?

    So much for President Obama’s assertion that ISIS is the JV team. In reality ISIS, and other Islamic terrorist groups, are demonic groups which seek to destroy civilization. Their idea of utopia is a world of violence, poverty, misery, repression and ignorance. Every ISIS participant should be found and destroyed. These people are so evil the are likely beyond rehabilitation.

      @Justin: He must be the JV coach. There have been 364 attacks over the past 34 years in 50 nations by Islamic terrorists (those you note) and almost half (179) occurred on his watch, with 66 already this year.

    O.K.! Which is it “…. bullet absorbed …” or “… bullet-riddled…”? It actually looks as if most, if not all, of the bullets “ricocheted off”.

    Things have to get better unless we end up with Hillaty. Very few are happy with the direction of the country. Unless of course you are on Wall street or an Obama bundled.

    I just read an article about the Republican field and how it is now time for an adult. It slammed Trump, Carson and Carly. It said people will get more serious now for the insiders. Why? The only difference between Christy, Bush, RUBIO, kasich, Grahm compared to Clinton is that they have a R after their name!
    I get tired of the attacks and insults from Trump, but I would be willing to bet, he would draft Generals like Keane, McChristol and get our country safe again. I believe he can bring prosperity back to the US, get rid of the bloat in government. If there was another choice, I would consider it, but I don’t see any other at the moment.

      So you would elect a president with no foreign policy experience , one, Trump, who would start ww111 with his big mouth, lower the wages, lies, and is basically a braggart with no diplomacy who would use the office for his own personal gain, or Carson, a neurosurgeon who lies, changes position at the drop of a hat, and would giggle his way through the presidency with no idea what he would be doing? With a 15% flat tax with no deductions for anything including small business, and the rich would pay the same, and no increase in wages? Wake up people, 15% of 50000 is 7500. Tithing for the Lord to the IRS. Do the math.
