The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has agreed to perform at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.
The church announced on its website Thursday that the 360-member volunteer choir will sing at Trump’s swearing-in ceremony on Jan. 20.
The group has performed at a handful of other presidential inaugurals, including those of presidents George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.
The choir’s president Ron Jarrett says the group is “honored to be able to serve our country by providing music for the inauguration of our next president.” Trump had trouble during the Republican primary campaign winning over Mormon voters, who voiced skepticism about his candidacy.
The Beach Boys also confirmed Thursday that they’ve been asked to perform at the inauguration. A spokesman said the group, which has a busy January schedule, has not decided yet.
On Thursday evening, Trump tweeted that several stars had requested to attend his inauguration.
“The so-called ‘A’ list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING. I want the PEOPLE!” Trump wrote without naming any stars seeking inauguration access.
Earlier this month, Trump’s inaugural committee announced that “America’s Got Talent” star Jackie Evancho will be singing the national anthem at the ceremony.

The way I look at it Kama they oughta take a picture at another restaurant that welcomes them with a logo of the restaurant behind them and send it to the CEO of the Cheesecake Factory.
President Elect Trump’s Inauguration committee should invite know Christian performers to this special event in the life our nation as we begin a reformation and renewal with DC as Mr. Trump “drains the swamp!” of it’s corruption and decay.

Hate to rock your boat Nellie, but Mormons most definitely are NOT Christians! In fact, if you call a Mormon by that designation they will set you straight. But whether or not some call themselves Christians, their beliefs most certainly set them at odds with the teachings of Christ and the Bible.
It’s easy to be fooled by the propaganda they dispense in their media ads which conveys certain information that taken by itself seems legitimately Christian, but don’t be fooled, Christ was not blonde, didn’t condone polygamy, and didn’t hate black people. Further, He didn’t commission another holy book to supplement the Bible, didn’t send an angel by the name of Moroni with a set of commands printed on golden tablets, only to snatch them back to ‘heaven’ when the public began to demand to see them.
Having said all this, at least the Mormon choir will probably sing something distinctly Christian and most listeners will think their hearing a Christian choir (like you did) and the message of Trump’s leanings toward the faith of our Founding Fathers will be conveyed. If I may be so bold as to suggest President Trump’s motto, I’d suggest “Back to the Constitution!”

Mr. Trump should ask Lucy Kay, Jonathan and Charlotte,Susan Boyle ,Paul Potts, from America’s got talent and Britain’s got talent; these individuals have all been bullied in their lives before making their beautiful voices heard on stage. What about Family Worship Center parties that are part of Son Life Broadcasting located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as they have world wide exposure. In addition, do not charge or have commercials on network. This is for the citizens of the United States.
