Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., rode into Washington in 2018 with a plan to radically alter American society — and the U.S. people laughed her off the stage. But AOC has a secret backdoor plan to force her Green New Deal on the American people.
The socialist New York congresswoman has quietly sent out the word that this time she’s not leaving anything to chance.
She’ll push the Green New Deal on U.S. taxpayers slowly, one piece at a time.

“The legislation that we are planning on introducing is not one broad-sweeping piece of legislation,” Cortez said earlier this week.
AOC said the idea of putting her socialist plan in place gradually is “really exciting.”
Sometime this month, she’ll introduce the first part of her agenda, the “Green New Deal housing plan.”
She says that will make all U.S. buildings “carbon neutral.”
It will guarantee “safe, adequate housing” to everyone in the country — whether or not they work.
“That’s going to be dropping this month, and it’s going to be really a focus on buildings, which is one of the three major industries we have to focus on when it comes to reducing carbon emissions,” AOC said.

That’s going to cost Americans a pretty penny. If every home in the United States just replaced four common household appliances that run on fossil fuels, it would suck $244 billion out of American families’ wallets.
That’s just the price tag to replace furnaces, water heaters, stoves, and dryers that run on natural gas.
That total, an estimate from the Consumer Energy Alliance (CEA), is more than the annual GDP of Vietnam or Romania.
“The Green New Deal is not a practical solution for American consumers,” said CEA President David Holt.
Her bill will also force Americans to buy electric cars.

That’ll hurt, too. Some electric cars cost as much as $105,000.
“We’re really excited about it,” Cortez said.
Why should she care? She doesn’t pay for her car: You do.
The piece-by-piece approach to socialism shows that AOC is learning the ways of Washington…and how to be brutally effective at getting her way.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came into office as the most celebrated freshman in congressional history—but in just a few months, she became a laughingstock.
Cortez rolled out the Green New Deal on her website in February—and her manifesto blew up in her face.

According to an official FAQ that she posted on her website, she would eliminate all fossil fuels within 10 years—so no more regular cars, trucks, or SUVs.
The GND would have ended all airplane flights and force people to ride trains instead.
Her plan — which would cost $93 trillion over 10 years — also promised every American free healthcare, free college for life, free “healthy food” to every person living in the United States… legally or illegally.
The government would give everyone a job for life, even if the government had to hire every American and pay them to do nothing.
AOC promised that Americans will guarantee “economic security to all who are unable or unwilling to work.”
She even said she wanted to “fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes” within 10 years!

Wall Street Journal reporter Kim Stassel said by the time she finished reading it, “I was laughing so hard I nearly cried.”
It was so embarrassing that AOC actually pretended a rogue staffer posted the document without her knowledge!
To make matters worse, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell brought the Green New Deal to the Senate floor for a vote.
Democrats were so eager to get away from the toxic bill that 42 senators—including some who had endorsed it, like Bernie Sanders—voted “present.”
It was so bad that AOC lashed out at Cocaine Mitch for “wasting votes in Congress.” It “is a disgrace,” she tweeted.
Since she knows her crazy-eyed plan won’t pass, she’s breaking it down, bill by bill, hoping she can boil the frog before he notices the pot’s getting warm.
AOC’s plans are no better one-at-a-time than they are together. Republicans have to stand against them every step of the way.
