Democrats who demonized the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies and belittled the president’s claims that illegal aliens are voting in U.S. elections just got humiliating news.
Top-rated Democratic officials have called ICE agents President Trump’s “Gestapo,” fear-mongered that the president will “militarize U.S. elections,” and ended agreements to cooperate with federal law enforcement officers to deport criminal aliens.
But two of the Left’s favorite talking points just got crushed on their favorite TV network. And to add insult to injury, a former Obama administration official delivered the death blow.
Obama administration Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS) Jeh Johnson went on MSNOW (formerly MSNBC) and declared that states should help the federal government deport illegal immigrants in state or local prisons—and admitted illegal immigrants are voting in U.S. elections, live on TV.
Former Biden White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki asked Johnson about newly elected Democratic Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger signing an executive order to stop local police from helping the Trump administration deport criminal aliens.
Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act allows local law enforcement to cooperate with federal officials when they encounter an illegal alien, especially if they bust him while he’s committing another crime against a U.S. citizen.
“287(g) is, in general, a good idea, for reasons of public safety and law enforcement,” Johnson told a shocked Psaki.
“If you want to get at the worst of the worst, you’re going to find the worst of the worst in our jails. Local law enforcement will encounter the worst of the worst undocumented. And so, there [need] to be partnerships between federal and local law enforcement to go after these people,” said Johnson, who oversaw deportations during Barack Obama’s second term, 2013 to 2017.
“In Democratic administrations, like the one I was in, we spent years trying to rebuild these relationships for reasons of public safety,” said the former Obama border security official, last Thursday.
Psaki quickly ended the segment of her low-rated show “The Briefing,” but not before Breitbart News saved the tape.
If that weren’t bad enough Johnson demolished a left-wing meme that claims illegal aliens never vote in U.S. elections.
The allegation returned from the dead after congressional Democrats including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York threatened to defund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) unless President Trump promises not to have ICE agents patrol polling places during elections.
Jeh Johnson tried to mouth the same line—but he let some truth slip out accidentally.
Illegals voting in U.S. elections is a “wild Steve Bannon idea,” he said.
“I can think of very, very little legitimate reasons why ICE, in its official capacity, would be at a polling place in the United States. You have to be a U.S. citizen in order to vote; you have to be registered to vote.”
“You’re not going to find the undocumented in any numbers—in any appreciable numbers—at a polling place,” said Johnson.
By correcting his statement to “appreciable numbers,” Johnson admitted some illegals cast ballots in U.S. elections—and he wants ICE to do nothing about it.
Maybe he knows which party they vote for.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton struck 95,000 illegals from Texas voter rolls in 2019—but by then 58,000 non-citizens had already voted in at least one Texas election.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced earlier this year he has removed another 6,500 non-citizens from its voting rolls since 2021.
The Horn News reported revelations from Oregon State Rep. Ed Diehl that the Secretary of State’s office registered 1,257 voters with no proof of eligibility or citizenship just in time for the 2024 election — and nine of them voted.
Pennsylvania election officials admitted in October 2017 that at least 544 non-citizens have voted in state elections.
A Mexican illegal immigrant named Jose Ceballos not only voted but got elected mayor of tiny Coldwater, Kansas.
And despite Johnson’s claims, he did everything he could to stop Republicans from gumming up the left’s illegal-to-voter pipeline.
The Obama administration sued the state of Arizona for passing S.B. 1070, which allowed local police to arrest illegal aliens and refer them to the federal government for deportation.
Then-Governor Jan Brewer signed the bill, which relied on 287(g)—the kinds of agreements Johnson said Democrats are always trying to hammer out.
Obama posed as the “deporter-in-chief” but governed like the sultan of amnesty.
Obama’s record was so bad that the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) wrote a 66-page mini-book on “President Obama’s Record of Dismantling Immigration Enforcement”—and FAIR last updated it two and a half yeas before Obama left office.
The offenses kept piling up in the last 28 months of Obama’s presidency—and reached a crescendo in his third term, when “President” Joe Biden ordered Border Patrol agents to cut razor wire at the southern border to facilitate the cartels’ human trafficking schemes.
Experts estimate anywhere between 11 million and 30 million illegal aliens entered the country during the last Democratic administration alone. The Pew Research Center found a record-breaking 14 million “unauthorized immigrants” living in the United States in 2023.
As The Horn told you exclusively, retired Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge of the U.S. Border Patrol J.J. Carrell testified to Congress that 30 million illegal aliens entered the United States during the Biden-Harris administration.
“This invasion of 30,000,000 illegal aliens entering America in four years was created and facilitated by Democrat representatives in office but it was funded by Republican representatives in office,” swore Carrell in written testimony submitted to Congress. “This act of treason is a Uniparty effort.”
Democrats’ sabotage of Trump’s border security went into high-gear last January 20 and has never stopped.
Even Jeh Johnson couldn’t keep up the charade of talking like a tough border czar on for long.
Last Tuesday at an event where he thought only fellow Democrats were around, he let the mask slip.
Johnson attacked ICE agents as “an angry, ill-trained, undisciplined force that looks like they’ve come for a fight at an event hosted by Harvard’s Institute of Politics, part of the Kennedy School of Government, run by another Obama administration alum, Juliette Kayyem. “They have lost their way,” he said.
The Obama official even bragged about how dangerous Democrats have made life for ICE agents, whom left-wing radicals doxx, harass, and even target for vehicular homicide.
“Ten years ago, when I was in office, I could carry my DHS gym bag on the slot with me, and people would come up to me and say ‘thank you for keeping us safe,’” said Johnson. “Now I wouldn’t dare wear anything that says DHS on it.”
Maybe that was because the Bush administration’s secretaries of Homeland Security didn’t say the Obama DHS was angry, ill-trained, undisciplined, and looking for a fight.
Johnson told Harvard that ICE agents “have to learn tactics in de-escalation.” But it’s the Democrats who need to de-escalate their dehumanizing rhetoric against President Donald Trump and ICE agents, especially when they know they’re lying through their teeth—as Johnson just admitted.
