New bill has “alt-left” leaders panicked

The House Judiciary Committee introduced a new bill targeted at the violent “alt-left” group, Antifa, that has been the source of numerous political riots since President Donald Trump took office.

And the so-called “alt-left” leadership is very unhappy about it, because the bill compares them to the other extremist Democrat-founded group, the Klu Klux Klan.

The new bill is called “Unmasking Antifa Act of 2018,” and carries a potential 15-year prison sentence for anyone caught engaging in “antifa” behaviors and “wearing a mask.”

The bill was introduced in the House last month, but on Tuesday gained new attention after conservative commentator Mike Cernovich urged his Twitter follows to call their representatives and “let them know what you think.”

New York Rep. Dan Donovan, a Republican, introduced the bill and is co-sponsored by Republican Reps. Pete King (N.Y.), Paul Gosar (Ariz.), and Ted Budd (N.C.)

The bill carries a fine or up to 15 years in prison for anyone in disguise who “injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimated any person… in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege.”

Since 2016, the alt-left terrorist group has been known to wear black masks as they engage in violent clashes with prayer groups and conservative activists.

While right-wing personality Cernovich is urging conservatives to call their lawmakers in support of the bill, angry left-wing Twitter users lashed out on social media —

I was arrested at a protest in Boston & the DA dropped all charges on myself and more than a dozen others.

For decades, many states have made it illegal to wear masks at protests. Lawmakers saw these ordinances as a way to fight back against the Klu Klux Klan. Bills were passed in Alabama, New York, Indiana and a multitude of other states in the late 40s to stop intimidation and violence from Democrat groups.

Different decade. Different mask colors. But the same old tactics from the “alt-left.”
