Former Navy officer Malcolm Nance might have built a career out of pushing Russiagate as an MSNBC analyst… but he’s just written a new legacy for himself.
Nance joined Ukraine’s international legion amid Russia’s deadly war, he told MSNBC’s Joy-Ann Reid on Monday.
Dressed in military garb, he spoke about his experiences on Reid’s program, The ReidOut.
He said:
Well, as you now, I spent quite a bit of time here in the prewar period. And when the invasion happened, I had friends who were in Donetsk, who were in the Ukrainian army, who were writing to us and telling us, “We’re not going to survive tonight, we’ve been hit 500 times.” These graduates of defense language institute, these were my friends.
The more I saw of the war going on, the more I thought, “I’m done talking, all right? It’s time to take action here,” So about a month ago, I joined the international legion in Ukraine. And I am here to help this country fight what essentially is a war of extermination. This is an existential war and Russia has brought it to these people and they are mass murdering civilians, and there are people here like me who are here to do something about it.
Take a look —

Nance gave an impassioned interview with The Daily Beast after appearing on Reid.
Never the type to self-censor, he told the website, “If anybody gives me any f—-ing flak just tell them to shut the fuck up since they’re obviously p—-s who have never been in combat. The Legion only takes combat vets. #BOFADEEZ.”
Yes. Really.
He also took the opportunity to speak positively of the international legion.
“I was very touched when I met the first platoon and saw they were here for the right reasons,” he continued for The Daily Beast. “The international legion is one of the best-kept secrets in the country. That’s the story. They were higher-level people than I am. Most journalists have never seen an actual member or been following freelancers all over the battlefield. I really can’t tell you how diverse a group it really is. It is literally a multinational force of men and women who are here to defend Ukraine.”
“They were not here just to get guns,” he concluded.
“Also if anybody gives me any fucking flack just tell them to shut the fuck up since they’re obviously pussies who have never been in combat. Allegiant only takes combat vets," Nance told the Beast, adding the hashtag #BOFADEEZ. https://t.co/uquZOYyglA

But Nance is no ordinary Democrat.
On MSNBC, Nance pressed President Joe Biden for “heavy weapons,” according to The Daily Beast. “Russia has one advantage on the battlefield and that is long-range artillery,” Nance reportedly said.
Nonetheless, some liberals have tried to exploit Nance’s sacrifice for their own P.R.
“Tucker Carlson is busy cheering for Putin. Malcolm Nance is busy fighting Putin,” columnist Grant Stern tweeted. “Be like Malcolm Nance.”
