Missouri Gov.-elect Eric Greitens says his wife was robbed at gunpoint not far from their St. Louis home.

The Republican governor-elect said in a written statement Monday night that the future first lady, Sheena Greitens, is “safe but shaken.”

Greitens transition team leader Austin Chambers says Sheena Greitens was robbed by multiple people while in her car at a coffee shop parking lot a little after 6 p.m. Monday.

Greitens’ statement said the response by St. Louis police was “swift and skilled.” The identity of the suspects was not immediately clear.

Greitens, a former Navy SEAL officer, said he is “now, more than ever, focused on the mission of creating safer neighborhoods.”

He won election in November and is to take over for Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon on Jan. 9.

This situation with robbery, rape, home invasions, stolen vehicles, guns, stripping and arson, murder is on going in my area. Crime rate up sense 2008 and open borders and refugees. More gangs and drugs. I have to keep alarm on all the time. Big mess for TRUMP to clean up. There are good people in Muslims and illegals and they don’t want to live in Middle Eastern countries. Illegals from South America countries are setting them selves up to be used by drug cartel, kidnapping and sex trafficking. God Bless Our COUNTRY and TRUMP.

Amen and I agree. I can never go and live in my home town anymore, St. Louis, MO. I am an Elder and left 1991, in my early 40’s to take care of my dad to the end of his natural life. He passed away 2002 at age 90. That is when I found out what St. Louis had become. It would be good to be able to go back to where I grew up at around Lafayette Park. Many good memories there when my parents and brother and sister was alive. It is all about memories. Yet I know that will never happen in my life time. If it happened tomorrow, I am far from having an income to afford to go back. I made a mistake a stayed with a ex to many years and let him talk me into selling my home and the one apt. bldg. I rented to only senior ladies for a mere 85.00 a month. That was to grow and enlargement sell it relocate my ladies to a newer bldg, with the equity purchase two apts complex’s and continue doing that from my mid 20’s to I retired. So ladies if you have that opportunity never let it go. You walk the path alone except for Jesus, he is the only true one that will be with you and help you all the days of your life.

Once you start giving these repeat offenders a stiff sentence instead of allowing them to plea bargain maybe we will see change, but most DA’s rather have convictions instead of upholding the law, so the people who should get a plea deal like first time offenders or those who commit petty crimes instead get the book thrown at them, this JUST US system is creating more criminals than it is stopping.
