California Rep. Maxine Waters, a Democrat, was shredded to pieces on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show on Wednesday.
Hannity’s guest, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, appeared on behalf of President Donald Trump’s administration and issued a stunning challenge to Waters — a bold dare that left Waters’ office totally silent.
Democrats have spent the last year promising voters they’d impeach Trump if they win the 2018 midterm elections — none more frequently than Waters, who has repeated the line so many times she even interrupted a friend’s funeral with an “Impeach 45!” chant last year.
Voters are sick of it. Even left-leaning polls have shown Trump’s popularity is on the rise. Voters have grown very tired of the constant impeachment promises and the Democrats political theater.
In other words, the more Waters promises to impeach Trump, the worse voters think of her. And Giuliani is calling her out.
“The people who will decide [Trump’s fate] are the people of the United States in the 2018 election. And, boy they are switching fast and the Democrats are running for cover,” Giuliani told Hannity. “You don’t hear them say the words impeachment anymore.”
He continued, “I challenge Maxine Waters to say impeachment! Say it! Say impeachment sweetheart!”
Waters office has yet to reply to the challenge.
The silence is deafening.
